Imagine Me and You

The sun shining down on Haven as she laid in bed was making her hot and she squinted her eyes as she tried to open them. The sun wasn’t the only thing making her hot-her English Bulldog Bacon was currently sleeping across her stomach and he was giving off a shocking amount of heat. Rubbing her eyes and then sitting up, Haven looked around and smiled-her boyfriend was home from tour and currently sleeping next to her. She tucked her brown hair behind her ears, sucking down on her snackbites as Haven tried to decide whether or not she wanted to wake him.


“Babe?” She said softly, her hand resting against the bare shoulder beside her. The blankets were covering most of his face, but Haven could just see the very top of his black hair-messy even without being in bed all night.

“Five more minutes…” He grumbled, his deep voice made deeper from hours of sleep. Haven only smiled and then jumped as her alarm clock began to go off and her favorite song, Rebel Love Song, filled the room. Soon enough a pair of tired blue eyes were looking at her from beneath the blankets and she smiled.

“Now…unless you want me to crawl underneath there and get you myself.” She teased and then yelped as a pair of strong tattooed arms reached out and grabbed her around the waist. Soon Haven found herself beneath the blankets and staring in to the blue eyes of the man she loved-Andy.

“Hello…” He said, his voice seductive and yet playful. Haven only smiled as her lips met his and she felt his arms wrap around her more tightly. She loved their mornings together and she missed them dearly when he was away.

“Hey there yourself. Did you actually get some sleep…” She said with a mocking tone to her voice. Andy always had a hard time sleeping when he first got home from tour-he would get so used to sleeping on a moving bus that sleeping in an actual bed sometimes proved near impossible.

“I did, but um…well I think we should just stay in bed today…” He said, his eyes on fire and Haven shivered. One of his hands was currently resting on her hip, his thumb hooked underneath the band of her boy shorts and he kept biting down on his lower lip-something that Andy knew drove her crazy.

“Oh really well I-“ She stopped as their lips met and Haven felt herself melt against him like a pat of butter.


His fingers wove through her soft brown hair and as they tumbled around on the bed, clothing being tossed to the floor and the dog hiding in the corner, neither one of them could think of a better way to spend their afternoon. Sometimes when you don’t see someone for a long time, it makes reuniting with them so much sweeter. This was so sweet that it was bound to give her cavities, but Haven didn’t mind. She had Andy and she knew as they began to love one another in the only way they knew how, that she always would have him.
