Imagine Me and You

The night was quiet-just the sound of the television and the light snoring of a Husky puppy named Rudolph snoozing in his bed in the corner, but that was okay because Lindsay loved nights like this. It was just her and her boyfriend, sitting home and watching some movie on television. It was peaceful and this was something they needed after his long time away. He had been on tour with his band, but now they were heading in to the studio and so she knew she would have him all to herself.

Silently and with her blue eyes still staring at the screen, Lindsay tucked some of her choppy brown hair behind one ear and tried to focus. It was hard though since CC kept running his fingers across her collarbone and she could feel his breath on the back of her neck.

CC had been the best thing to come in to her life, with Chumpy their pug and Rudolph their husky coming in at a close second. CC was everything to her-he loved her and he cared about her, no matter what. They had met over a year ago, but it had taken them both some time to get used to being in a relationship. Lindsay had been hesitant at first-she didn’t want to get hurt-and CC had always been cautious, but they knew it was meant to be. Now they were completely comfortable around one another…almost too comfortable.


“Babe! Ugh that’s gross…” Lindsay said as she turned her head to face CC-who had just burped in her ear lowly and now he was smirking down at her slightly.

“Sorry-you know beer makes me burp a lot…” He let out another one and Lindsay only rolled her eyes as she let her hand come smacking down against his broad chest. She loved this guy-even if he could be a pig.

“So you say…” She laughed as he began to tickle her and Lindsay couldn’t help but feel at peace. They loved being like this-together-and it never really happened much unless they were home. Their relationship was a bit of a secret-especially since she was only nineteen and people were so fucking judgmental. CC also told her it was because he didn’t want to share her with anyone and deep down Lindsay understood.

“You are so beautiful…” He had stopped tickling her and was now looking down into her deep blue eyes. She was gorgeous and she was even more gorgeous right now with that blush creeping across her nose and cheeks.


Lindsay had always been shy about her looks-she never thought she looked good and when they had first gotten together she always wondered why he had chosen her. CC constantly reassured her that she was beautiful and that it wasn’t always about looks, but she seldom believed him. It wasn’t until other people began to compliment her that Lindsay seemed to grow in confidence, but even now she blushed any time he told her she looked nice. He didn’t understand it, but CC hadn’t ever been told he was or wasn’t good looking in his life and even if he had he probably wouldn’t have cared. Lindsay was a different story-her mother tore her down a lot, even now when they would talk on the phone she would sometimes get off near to tears.

It was more than just looks for CC though-Lindsay had such a big heart and she always was there for him, even in the middle of the night. CC had problems sleeping on the road-he and Andy both suffered from insomnia when they weren’t home-and so there were times where he would be up until five and desperate to fall asleep. That’s when he started calling Lindsay-even if the time zones were different and she was fast asleep she would wake up and talk to him. They would mostly talk about nonsense, funny things that had happened in their days and they would crack corny jokes with one another until finally CC’s eyes would drift closed. She would tell him she loved him and he would respond, but Lindsay always hung up the phone knowing that CC’s was probably laying flat on his face as he had passed out.


“I bet you say that to all the girls…” She teased him and CC only laughed as he moved to press his lips against hers. Chumpy, who had been seated in her lap, snorted loudly and the couple laughed as they ended the kiss. They loved their little family and neither one of them would have it any other way right now.

“Nah, some girls are pretty, but you…babe you knock them out of the water.” His fingers brushed across her skin and Lindsay shivered as she pulled the blanket that was covering the both of them further up her body.

“You know I never know what to say to you when you talk like this…” She was blushing again, her cheeks flaming and CC only smiled as he pressed a kiss to the top of her brown head. She didn’t need to say anything, she was here with him and that’s all that he really needed.

“I don’t want you to say anything…just love me.” He whispered in her ear, his arms tight around her chest as he pulled her closer. Lindsay only smiled as she felt his nose brush up against her cheek and she knew that this is what she loved about CC.

“I do…” She said quietly and soon Lindsay found herself facing him, her legs straddling either side of his hips. Chumpy had jumped down from her lap, grumbling as he scooted over to lay with Rudolph in the corner.

“Say it.” He said, his brown eyes serious and Lindsay only smiled as she placed her hands on either side of his face and then moved closer. Their lips met, softly at first but then CC began to feel his desire for her so he reached out and sucked on her bottom lip. Lindsay only smiled as she pulled away and noticed the sad look on his face.

“I love you more than all the pugs in the world…always…”


They both smirked at one another right before their lips met once again and they both knew they were where they belonged.
