It’s been three weeks since Kellin’s death, and one month since Black Veil Brides, Sammi, and Ella came to stay at the asylum. The grand room was quiet as everyone lounged around, reading, sleeping, cuddling, or talking quietly amongst themselves. Naomi’s mind had been racing ever since that night she laid in Andy’s arms before the fire. In the span of weeks, the two had become close. Closer than anyone, even them, could have ever thought.

They had had a moment together in that room. for just that moment, it was if they were the only ones. Currently, Naomi was sitting on the loveseat strumming her guitar.

Recognizing the tune she was playing, Tyler smiled softly. “You and Kellin used to sing that.”

Everyone, who could, smiled as they remembered memories of this. Seeing the questioning look on their faces, Lee made his way over to Andy and his friends. Whispering quietly he said, “Naomi was the resident song bird when we came to live here. After losing our parents and Lucas, she just stopped singing, stopped talking. She closed herself off to everyone. But there were those rare times when she would smile and sing; only Kellin could make her do that. I don’t know what it was about him, considering he was such an asshole half the time, but he brought Naomi out of her shell, even if it was only for a moment. But Andy, when you got here, she was alive again. Naomi hasn’t talked this much in months, and now she’s playing her guitar again. We had lost her, but you saved her.”

Still strumming her guitar, Naomi opened her mouth to sing.

*[A/N: I’m going to put their names like this “Naomi:” to indicate when someone is singing a part, because it’s more than one person singing, and it’ll be easier.]

Naomi: Drag my hand behind you like a chain behind a truck.
Sparks over your carpet while I chase you through the darkness.


Tyler: Somebody's supposed to fall in love, but nobody even calls.


Naomi: Somebody's supposed to tear this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.
You'll be excited just to see me someday, everything's okay.


Tyler grabs Naomi and begins dancing around the room with her, much to the enjoyment of everyone.

Tyler: Summer and gold throw their colors at the dark.
A mother tells her son, darling look at the sparks.
but you hold my attention without even trying.
A beautiful reflection from firework eyes.

Naomi: But, never means forever.
Desperation, and hanging in the backyard at night.

Somebody's supposed to fall in love.
Tear this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.

You'll be excited just to see me someday, everything's okay.


Tyler stopped dancing and pulled Naomi closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling.

Tyler: Love, Don't forget to bleed so slowly.
Haunted hearts we melt over the fabric of your floor
I'm holding her just like she's gold, but I've been running from the sun.
Oh, no, no.
And if I ever catch the ones who hurt you.
I, I'm hoping that God looks away this time.
So, why would I let you go?


Naomi: Why would I let you go?
Tear apart this place apart until you find me hiding, silently I wait.
You'll be excited just to see me someday, everything's okay.


The room erupted in cheers when the duo had finished singing. “Wow, I heard you sing at the, uh the funeral, but I had no idea….”CC smiled trying not to make things awkward when bringing up the funeral.

“I told you,” Lee smirked as he stood up to go sit with Pressley.

Andy had sat there mesmerized by the little show Naomi and Tyler and had just put on.

“You’re staring,” Ashley smirked as he observed his best friend. Andy’s eyes never left Naomi when she was singing and dancing around the room with the Tyler.

“I am not,” Andy declared, still staring at Naomi.

“Yes you are, during that one part where Tyler held her in his arms, you looked so jealous.” Ashley laughed. “I thought you were going to march over there and steal her away!”

Andy pried his eyes away to glare at Ashley. Jinxx smirked as he moved towards them to join in on the conversation. “He’s right Andy, we can all see you really like her. Just go for it, you don’t need to feel guilty for liking someone else. Juliet left.”

Andy sighed and closed his eyes. “But does she like me?”

“Only one way to find out,” Sammi smiled encouragingly.

Andy sighed but nodded his head; Sammi was right, there was only one way to find out. “I’ll ask her…tonight.”
