Forgotten Memories

Lavender eyes-staring at him from every angle and no matter how fast he ran Andy couldn’t escape them. They were angry looking and Andy felt his own eyes grow wide as the scene before him changed and he was back in that warehouse. Lily was laying on the floor, her white blonde hair splayed beneath her head, but it was quickly turning to a crimson color from her blood. Andy rushed over towards her and as he reached her still body, he fell to his knees and hovered over her.

She smiled at him, her lavender eyes soft as she lifted up a hand and rested it against his cheek. Blood was pouring from her chest and the corners of her mouth, but Andy didn’t care as soon his lips were pressed against hers gently. He couldn’t see this-it was too much and he shut his eyes as he pulled away, but Lily still kept her palm against the side of his face.

“Andy…look at me.” Her voice was weak and Andy only shook his head as he kept his eyes tightly closed. He couldn’t watch her die-not again…he couldn’t see her leave him all alone in the world.

“Lily…I…” He felt a sharp pain against the side of his cheek and Andy snapped his eyes open and looked down. Lily was smirking at him, her eyes filled with an evil hate as she glared up at him.

“I saved you…gave my life for you and you can’t even fucking look at me?!” Her voice was harsh and Andy felt his heart stop. This wasn’t Lily-she would never be like this with him. Even when she was angry with him she had always spoken to him with understanding in her voice.

“You’re not Lily…” Andy said as he jumped to his feet and reached down for a sword that was not there. A huge black cloud formed where Lily had been laying and Andy watched in horror as her small body rose to a standing position. Her pale skin turned a crimson red, her white blonde hair became inky and dark and her eyes…as she trained those once lavender eyes on him, Andy shuddered.

Her eyes were yellow and cat like…Demon eyes.

“Oh I am…I’ve just changed a little bit.” She smirked at him, her fangs hanging over her lips slightly and Andy couldn’t help but still feel an attraction to her.

“No…no this isn’t you Lily…you’re supposed to be an Angel…” Andy stuttered as he walked backwards and suddenly he felt like he was falling. He screamed, low and guttural and as he looked up all he saw was Lily standing over him, watching him fall into darkness.

“I am an Angel Andy…but this is your wakeup call…WAKE UP!” She screamed and Andy clapped his hands over his ears as he shook his head. Her voice sounded so pained and so disappointed in him that Andy couldn’t bear to look at her in that moment.

Andy sat straight up in bed, his chest heaving as he looked around and took in the room before him. The walls were covered in cheap looking paper, the curtains were ripped and torn in places and the girl sitting next to him was looking at him like he was crazy. Andy groaned-a dream…it had all been a dream. He sighed, running a hand through his black hair and smirked as he noticed that it was still sticking up in the back.

Last night had been crazy-he had gotten so wasted that Andy wasn’t really sure how he had made it back to his room and he had no idea who the girl was that was sitting on his bed next to him. He looked over and she smiled at him-her light blue eyes were caked with makeup and he could see the various hickies and bite marks on her neck and chest. Fuck-he really needed to quit drinking so fucking much. Andy only smiled at her as he moved from the bed, thankful that he still had his boxers on and he moved quietly over towards the sink.

He gripped the edge of the Formica counter, his knuckles white as Andy ran through his head what his dream really meant. Lily was a Demon? No-no that couldn’t be right. Uriel had assured him that Lily was in Heaven and that she was training for something. Andy shook his head, his long hair falling in to his face as he closed his eyes and tried to think of the way Lily looked when she appeared to him in Michigan. Her smile was soft and loving, her hair was flowing around her and she looked peaceful.

The Lily from his dreams…she had looked pissed and Andy couldn’t blame her. She had said something about a wake up call-his wake up call? Andy groaned as he turned on the water, splashing some on to his face as he noticed that the girl was still on the bed behind him and he could see her reflection in the mirror before him.

She wasn’t bad looking-red hair that was teased in the back and hung down in her face in tangles. Her blue eyes were like his-light and filled with sadness and loneliness. She was smiling at him, the sheet to his bed covering her chest and the rest of her, but Andy could only think of one person in that moment. He had never seen Lily that morning after they had made love-she had gotten up before him and he had only seen her after she had found Kate’s head on their doorstep.

What would she have looked like that morning? Would her hair be all tangled and teased from their desperate love making? Her lips-would they have been swollen from a night filled with their intimate kisses? Her eyes-he knew her eyes would have looked at him with the most loving look she could manage. Instead he was looking in to a pair of light blue eyes that currently were still half closed and sleepy looking.

“Babe…get back in the bed…I’m lonely…” She whimpered and Andy only grimaced as he looked at her through the mirror. His jaw was tight as he looked at her and Andy noticed that she seemed to shrink away from him in that moment.

“I think it’s time you hit the road-uh-what was your name again?” Andy asked as he dug through the small black bag that was sitting on the edge of the counter. She huffed loudly and suddenly there was something whizzing past his head-a shoe.

“Fuck you!” She snarled at him and Andy only laughed as the shoe bounced off the glass, hit the counter but then it also hit his bathroom bag, which was now laying on the floor with its contents spilled all over the place.

“Oh but you already did. Look-nothing personal, but I need to get in the shower and then hit the road. It was awesome…” Andy said, looking at the girl that was reflected in the mirror and he almost dropped the toothbrush that was in his hands.

Lily was standing there, staring at him with wide eyes that were filled with so much pain and hurt that Andy felt sick to his stomach. The girl from last night wasn’t there with them and Andy felt frozen as he stood there and looked at Lily. Her arms were crossed over her chest, her lavender eyes filled with disappointment as she looked at him and in that moment Andy felt ashamed. What was he doing? Treating a girl like she was nothing? That wasn’t how he would have treated Lily and it shouldn’t be how he treated anyone else.

She just continued to look at him, shaking her head back and forth slowly as her lavender eyes grew sadder and sadder. Suddenly she opened her mouth, screaming at him, but he heard nothing and as she ran at him Andy spun around. She came flying at him, her fists raised, but right as she reached him, Lily cried out and vanished in to a thin vapor. Andy just stood there, leaning up against the counter with his eyes wide and worried. There was no one else in the room with him-the girl from last night had dressed and fled.

Lily was nowhere to be found.

Andy stood there, his hands sweaty as he leaned up against the counter behind him and his head was throbbing. He looked around him-the bed was a mess, his clothes were all over the floor and there was a half empty bottle of Whiskey over on the one table in the room. Andy looked down, sighing as he bent towards the floor to pick up everything that had fallen out of his bathroom bag. Brush, razor, shaving cream, body soap, toothbrush and then as Andy picked up the final remaining piece, he dropped it like he had been burned. A light pink toothbrush sat on the floor by his feet and now he couldn’t breathe.

Lily’s toothbrush.

He had been so sure that they had gotten everything of hers out of the apartment, but he completely forgotten that the two of them had shared a bathroom bag on the last tour they had been on. He picked up the small brush, holding it in his hands like it was the most delicate thing in the world and Andy felt the tears come to his eyes. He remembered walking in to the bathroom and seeing her there, standing at the sink with the brush hanging out of her mouth. Her pink lips would be curved up into that cute smirk, the foam covering her chin as she scrubbed and scrubbed. Andy felt the tears come to his eyes as he collapsed on to the floor, his back up against the wall nearest the counter and he just sat there, the brush held in one hand while the other tugged at the back of his hair.

Why was this so hard? Why did it have to hurt so fucking much to have something of hers in his hands? Andy cried-this had been the first time he had cried since that day at the cemetery and he didn’t want to be doing this right now. No, right at this moment he was supposed to be getting ready to hit the road with the guys and head to wherever it was they were supposed to go. Andy liked being on the road-it kept him away from LA and their memories.

Everything there held a memory for him-their takeout place, the movie theater, the clubs where they played their first shows. She was like a ghost in all of these places and Andy couldn’t walk into them without thinking of Lily. It wasn’t fair-why wasn’t he allowed to move on with his life without constantly being reminded of her and what they had lost? Andy sat there, he had dropped the toothbrush to the floor and his knees were bent and resting against his chest as he leaned up against the wall behind him.
Life wasn’t fair…love certainly wasn’t fucking fair either.

“Andy?” A voice called out from the door way and Andy quickly jumped to his feet, but he kept his back towards the door as he quickly tried to get rid of the evidence of his tears.

“Hey! Yeah…yeah I’ll be ready in a second…” He said softly. He looked up and his blue eyes met those of Jake, who was standing behind him with a duffle bag slung over one shoulder and his guitar was held in his other hand.

“Dude…this place is a wreck…” Jake said as he walked towards the singer and noticed that Andy flinched away from him as he moved to rest a hand on his shoulder.

“Ha-yeah. Things got a little crazy last night I guess…” Andy said as he finished packing up everything in his bathroom bag. Lily’s toothbrush rested near the very bottom-he couldn’t bring himself to throw it away…he needed to keep a small part of her in his life in that moment.

“I heard…we all did. Is-is everything okay man? Are you okay?” Jake said, finally resting a hand against his shoulder and Andy only smirked as he turned to face his bandmate and friend.

“Yeah-yeah everything is fine. Lets go man…” Andy said, that smirk still on his lips as he moved to walk around the room and quickly get his things in order. Jake followed behind him silently, too afraid to say anything else because he couldn’t stand it when Andy lied to him.

“Okay.” Jake said simply as he moved towards the door and then turned around. The guitarist leaned up against the frame and as he looked back in to the room before him he felt his heart break.

Andy was moving around like a zombie-he had been that way ever since they had left LA and gotten on this tour. This was supposed to be the time of their lives and yet Andy was just coasting through-trying to make it to another day. Ashley was no help-he kept feeding the kid drink after drink and he would shove these girls towards Andy and they all knew it was so that Andy could drown his sorrows. That wasn’t how you were supposed to deal with things-at least not in the human sense and Jake knew that Andy was close to being human, but he hadn’t gotten there yet.

As the singer finally seemed to be all ready to go, Jake only smiled as he bent down and picked up a small black bag. Andy’s eyes grew wide as the bag slipped from Jake’s fingers and everything rolled out. Jake watched as Andy hurried around to try and pick everything up and he managed to get everything together in good time. There was just one thing left laying on the floor and Jake wondered if Andy had noticed that he had left something behind as he left the room.

A small pink toothbrush…

@FallenAngel26

Aww I'm so glad you liked it! This series was really fun for me to write because I was able to put so much imagery in to it.

Just finished this series and oh my gosh! I can honestly say that a fan fiction had not made me cry until now. This story hit me right in the feels, expecially the 'just tonight' chapter. It just makes me so sad that they love each other so much but they can't be together. Anyways I love your stories, they are some of my favorites on this site :).

I just have to say that after reading this I now look at God Bless You as a way of telling Satan off

@Truly A Teenage Runaway

Aww well thanks! Start with A Love By Mistake as that is actually where this story is supposed to go. I warn you-I have A LOT of work haha so it may take some time.
