Ashley and Andy exchanged a look, then walked over near the front of the stage. Laura and I looked at each other, confused. They waited for the crowd to stop.
"Andy and I got something special we want to do." They motioned us up. "We want to ask you guys something." Once we were standing in front of them, they both got down on one knee. I gasped, and I'm pretty sure Laura did too. The crowd started to cheer again, but I didn't hear them, didn't see them. I only saw Ashley. This could not be happening. He pulled out whatever it was he had shoved into his pocket earlier, and I realized now it was a ring.
"Ashley. What is going on?" The words would've been barely audible, if I hadn't been wearing a mic.
"Amarie. I love you. More than anyone could ever love someone else. I'm the happiest man alive, and the only thing that would make me happier is if you would do me the honor of marring me." I was crying. This had to be a dream. I nodded.
"Yes. Oh yes!" He smiled, then put the ring on my finger. He swung me around, then kissed me. I really have no words for this. None at all.
