"No way." The guys were laughing.
"Hey, don't blame her, Purdy. All my idea." Ashley raised his eyebrows.
"'Purdy?'"
"Yeah. Problem?"
"Nah. I've heard it before. Just never expected to hear it from you." He looked at my face. Turning it to the 'Property of Purdy' side. "So, other than the 'Property of Purdy' and 'Belongs to Biersack,' this is what you guys used to do? I was never close enough to see it properly."
"Yup. It started out as a simple pattern then evolved into this. My idea on this one."
"What did Laura want to do?" I laughed.
"She wanted to do one eye like Jinxx's, the other like Jake's, upside teardrops for CC, stitches on the side of the mouth for Andy, and the three lines along the face and neck for Ashley. A mixture of all of you. She said something about not understanding how you guys do your makeup, and I proved that years of practice helps by doing ours. That's when she added the 'Property of Purdy' and 'Belongs to Biersack' on the side of our faces." CC started laughing.
"A mixture of all of us huh? Pretty creative, nice job Laura."
"Oh. I forgot my phone. Hold on, I will be right back." I walked back to get my phone, and I realized it was going off. I never told any of them I had a Twitter account, and now it was blowing up. I opened up my inbox. Hate mail.
'He doesn't really love you, you know. He is just trying to get into your pants.'
'Heard that you cut yourself. Why don't you just bleed out next time and do us all a favor?'
'Poor, poor, poor little emo girl. Thinking he loves you. News flash, he doesn't.'
'Just crawl into a hole and die already.'
There were more. A lot more. I started to feel like everything they were saying was true. Ashley was known for being a womanizer, but he loved me…didn't he?
**I started to doubt myself. I walked into the bathroom, and dug through my makeup bag, looking for my old trusted friend, my pocket knife. I pulled up the sleeve, where I don’t usually go, but I was feeling so terrible right now. I pressed it to my skin, then quickly made a slash. Blood started to pour out, and I sat there, taking the one girls advice; bleed out.
***"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" I looked up. Ashley was standing there, taking in my bloody arm, clothes, floor, and the knife still in my hand, about to make another cut. He pulled the knife out of my hand, and started to bandage my arm.
"NO!" He paused.
"No?"
"JUST LET ME FUCKING DIE!" I realized everyone was gathered at the door.
"AND WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I DO THAT?!" I pointed to my phone, silently. Laura picked it up, and scrolled through. She gasped. She gave the phone to Ashley, and pulled me into a hug. She was crying. Great, another thing I have done, made my best friend cry.
"DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!" She was shaking me. "EVERYONE HERE WOULD BE FUCKING DEVASTATED IF YOU DIED! THEY ARE JUST STUPID FANS WHO DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" My phone was being passed around. Ashley pulled down on the shoulder part of my shirt, and wiped away the makeup. Laura gasped. "HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN!?"
"Since the first concert. She kept blowing it off though. Wouldn't tell me. Got silent if I asked. I didn't think something like this would happen." He pulled me into his arms. "Laura is right. Don't listen to them. Guys, can you leave really quick?" They nodded and walked out, but not before giving me a hug each. Once we were along, he bandaged up my arm. He pulled me into the room, onto the bed, and pined me there. "We are not leaving until I get answers."
