We ROCKED that stage. I earned many screams when I myself started to scream the first line in ‘Knives and Pens’. Like Andy had said, you can’t find many girls who CAN scream. After that, we formally introduced ourselves.
“I’m Laura. Guitar and backup vocals.”
“I’m Amarie. Bass guitar and main vocals.”
“As many of you know, we never HAD vocals in the past. Well, since we were retouring after that video on YouTube finding us, we decided to mix things up a little. This girl here has many secrets, like the fact that she can actually in fact sing? Wonder what else we will get from her?”
“Thanks Laura, but I think we should get back to playing, don’t you? WE ARE GUITAR GIRLS! ENJOY THE SHOW!” We launched into ‘I’m not a vampire’ and right after that ‘Damage’. Then came the one we had only perfected today. ‘Rebel Love Song’ We ROCKED the song. When we were done, people were cheering and reaching for us. We walked over to end of the stage, which the guards had told us not to do, so even though we had moved freely on the stage, we stayed away from that area. People grabbed our hands as well held them out. We then backed up so that the curtain would fall over us when it closed.
After it closed, Ashley came over and hugged me.
“I knew you could do it.” His voice echoed, and that is when we realized my mic was still on. The cheering turned to laughing. ‘Whoops,’ he mouthed, but we were both smiling. I moved out of the way while they set everything up. The curtain went up, but everything was dark. I could see they each held a certain pose. Suddenly, the voice came over the speakers.
“This record is for the outcasts. Following our stories of love, life, and never giving in. We are the Black Veil Brides."
*End of the show...and the meeting with the two backstage fans...back at the bus*
We all celebrating by drinking. Once we were all pretty drunk, we headed to bed. Ashley and I celebrated in our own way...
