Summary

My parents grew up together, my mother falling head over heels in love with him. Eventually, he gave her a chance... A year later, Abby and I were born.

A broken home is the least you could say. They split not too long after we came home from the hospital. My father was a cheating, lying, alcoholic asshole who ran to anything that batted their lashes at him... And mom... Don't get me started. She's in and out of therapy and on several meds.

For as long as I can remember, they've HATED each other. Always fighting. Always in court. I cant recall a single moment in which they were civil with each other.

They both can agree on one thing: Abby is their star child. Captain of the cheerleaders, miss popularity, bleach blonde, stick thin and normal. So perfect and precious. She'd go far on her looks. But me? Curvy, blood red hair, tattoos and piercings, straight A student, creative... I'm no good because I'm "different". Mom blames dad and vise versa... So I don't fit in.

The day I graduated, I took the first scholarship from Jersey to California, with the dumb blonde in toe. Quicker than expected, I found a place in Zoei's home.

It's been two years sine we moved out here. Abby's dated and "fallen in love" more times than she cares to admit. But I don't date... Or love for that matter. My lovely folks showed me there is no love. It just doesn't exist. It's overpowering lust with an excuse for your actions...

Thank you! It really killed me to write out. I couldn't decide if it was detailed enough or not, so I sent it to my friend and she told me to post it. I have to work on the wedding. I'm not as excited after writing this one lol
