Ms. Falconer steps forward and welcomes Ashley home. I look between my old dance instructor and my boyfriend. How did they know each other? I see Ash swallow before speaking.
"Hello, Mother." His voice is as strong as his gaze. What????They were related? Holy shit!
My surprise must have shown on my face. Ashley takes my hand.
"Mother, you may know her as a student but this is my girlfriend Kayleigh. This is your grandson Kellin." Ms. Falconer looks shocked before I see her smile for the first time since I'd known her.
Ashley and I dance until the studio closes. After my mother and Ms. Falconer close up we all head to my apartment. Kellin is asleep in my lap. For once I feel I truly belong.
