Chapter 21

Phoebe POV-

We got to the hospital and we rushed in. Mom was being wheeled in fast, they rushed into the operating area and they told us we weren't aloud in. We sat on the bench and Des called jake. I was crying, worried about my mom.
"Jake and Andy are on their way ok" I nodded as she hugged me. I cried some more and about 5 minutes later, we heard feet rushing down the corridor, then, Andy and jake rushed into the waiting room and I ran to jake. He engulfed me into a warming hug and I cried into his chest. After about 2 hours, the doctor came out.
"Can I see her?"
"Umm, yes but we have some bad news about mrs Shall" "What about my mom? What's happened?"
"Well, she passed during the op, we did our best to save her, I'm sorry for your loss" and he left. That was it, my mom had left the world, the one that actually loved me and was forced to beat me. I burst into tears and fell to the floor. I felt warm arms wrap around me, I looked up to see jake, Andy and Des hugging me. I looked at jake and saw tears in his eyes, I kissed him and saw a tear fall down his face. He smiled softly and kissed my forehead. After about 5 minutes of staying like that, we all got up, I was too weak from all the crying so jake carried me home. When we got home, everyone was silent. "What happened?" Jinxx asked
"Mom...died..during..the..op" I cried onto jinxx's shoulder. "Hey, shush, it's ok" he said smoothly, rubbing my back. There was a loud bang on the door and I jumped, I turned around, sammi was huffing, sweat was on her forehead
"Sammi!" I ran towards her, she dropped her bags and engulfed me into a hug. I cried into her shoulder
"What happened sweetie?"
"My..mom..died..whilst..in..her..op"
"Ohh sweetie pie" she leant her head against my head and smoothly rubbed her hand on my back. A minute later, I felt more arms wrap around us, I looked up and saw jinxx, we curled up on the floor, still hugging and I fell asleep like that.
