The girl across the hall
The preparation.
Andy calls Jinxx as soon as the door to his apartment is shut. The singer is lost in how to make the evening romantic yet fun, but not too romantic. He doesn't want her to get the wrong idea, well more like he wants her to change her expectations of what he wants out if the date.
"Hey man? Why'd you call?" Jinxx asks through the phone, coughing. He was getting sick a lot for some reason. Andy scratches his newly short hair, "well, I kinda asked the girl who lives across the hall from me on a date. But she's got the wrong idea of me and I want to change that... I like her- I like her a lot."
"So you're coming to me for advice, cc just called me a few minutes ago about his girl as well." Jinxx sighs, "alright. What's she like?"
He closes his eyes for a moment, picturing the beautiful girl. "She's very smart, I think she's a writer in a magazine. Arielle has amazing brown eyes and brown hair, she's kind of sassy- scratch that, very sassy." He smirks, "and she gives the best hugs."
"Hugs? I thought she didn't like you dude?" Jinxx asks, confused, somewhat as a joke.
Andy chews on his lip for a second before answering, "uh, her last boyfriend broke up with her right when Juliet broke up with me. And we both needed a hug..."
"That's ironic. So she lives alone?"
"No, her friend Delaney lives with her too. She's actually moving in right now." Andy sighs. 'Who am I kidding, she isn't going to go out with me after this. '
"Andy, you might not be good at flirting, but you are fun and adventurous like most women want. She's bound to want to go out with you again after seeing how great of a guy you are." He pauses, mumbling something out of range. "So Sammi and I have to meet with the wedding planner, you can always call if you need anything. Good luck."
Andy drops the phone on the bed next to him.
"God, I feel like a teenager again."
