The Reaper

The Wretched and Divine

"No. Absolutely not."

"But... but Andy! She has seen me before and it was not upon her own accord! She is special!" I pleaded, trying to get The Prophet to understand.

"No Jake! She's not strong enough! She doesn't listen to me the many times I've called out to her to keep holding on. She is weak and she will not last!" The Prophet replied.

"I agree with Andy. I don't want a human working with us. All they do is mess things up! Do you have any idea how many times I have to send disasters now a days to keep them at bay? They are like vermin! Always going after each other. It's terrible!" The Destroyer replied. I crossed my arms and tensed. If only they could see...

"Okay, CC and Andy- I get where you're coming from. Perhaps this human is different? Perhaps there's something in her that will surprise us and leave us in awe and wonder. You never know." The Mystic said, trying to calm everyone down. He looked over to The Deviant, wanting to know his take on the situation.

"She is different. Very different. She is one of the most unique humans out there. She is one of the few that can hear, see, and touch us. She is stronger than you give her credit for Andy- it's just that F.E.A.R. is getting A LOT stronger than we anticipated..." The Deviant muttered.

"Fine.... let us go see her. Show her to us. Then we'll decide." The Prophet retorted, his arms crossed and his face showed he was not happy about this. I nodded and showed them the way to her house.

"She is still asleep. She will awake in a few minutes for school." I explained as we entered into her bedroom. I sat on the bed next to her. She was curled into a ball, her hand extended as if she was waiting for me. I picked up her hand and entwined our fingers together. The troubled expression on her face began to ease.

"Jinxx, thanks for making a double. I couldn't do my job and keep up with this at the same time." I whispered towards The Mystic, trying to create conversation while we waited for her to awaken.

"Any time Jake. I wanna beat them as much as possible, and with two of you that'll definitely help." He explained. I nodded and flashed a knowing smile at him.

"So... when does the human arise?" The Prophet asked. I sighed and looked at her. She was finally dreaming peacfully and I didn't want to ruin it.

"When she does. Patience Andy, just let her dream a happy dream for once." I whispered and gently brushed some hair from away from her face.

We sat there in silence for what seemed like hours. It was strange for us to all be sitting, waiting, not working on something. We all had our duties, and right now we were taking a break- a break we hadn't taken in over centuries. After about thirty minutes she moaned softly, releasing sleepy grunting noises as she woke up. She eyes slowly opened and she stretched.

"MMMmmmmmm..... good morning Mourner. You kept your promise." She whispered. I smiled and nodded at her.

"Eve, there are a few beings I'd like for you to meet face to face." I whispered. She nodded and sat up in her bed. I looked at the rest of The Wild Ones who stepped forward into the light.

"Oh my god.... I.... I've seen you before! I didn't realize you were powerful beings though! You were disguised as normal people.... oh my god!" Eve whispered in shock, bringing her hands up to her mouth as she gasped. The rest of The Wild Ones just nodded and smiled.

"Guys, this is Eve. Eve, this is The Prophet, next to him is The Mystic, over there is The Destroyer, and I know you know the last one very well. The Deviant." I said and introduced them all. She shook hands with them all and smiled. They gasped as they felt her hand in theirs. It wasn't normal for a human to be able to touch us, hear us, or let alone see us. This was rare, and it was definitely important.

"No. You are not Eve. You are joining our army and your warrior name is Chazona. You are the Seer, and prophetess." The Prophet said as he looked into her eyes. No one argued. It seemed that showing them was enough to change their minds.

"Alright... so.... when do we beat F.E.A.R.'s ass? Let's get started!" Chaz exclaimed, cracking her knuckles and getting out of bed.

"First, we need an army. Chazona, do you know of any humans who would be willing soldiers?" The Prophet asked.

"Maybe.... I'll need a bit of eye- opening help from The Mystic to get them to believe, and I'll need help from The Deviant to get them to strive to be different in order for it to work..." She whispered in thought.

"Perfect. Jinxx, Ash, go work with Chaz. The rest of us will set up camp the perfect distance from F.E.A.R.'s headquarters. Far enough away from the headquarters that if the Wretcheds attack they won't be strong enough to cause any damage, but close enough to know where it was, and be able to trap more and more Wretcheds in order to study them." The Prophet explained. The Destroyer and I nodded.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get us some soldiers!" Chazona cheered. We all laughed and agreed with her.
