Meeting the Seer- Our New Secret Weapon

Hello, I am glad you came to listen to my story about the humans and the battle against F.E.A.R. My name is Jake- although I am more commonly referred to as The Mourner. Only a select few call me by my actual name. Enough about me- you came here for a story did you not? Let us begin at the very start.

Our story starts with a young woman named Chazona. Her human name is Eve Black- you may have heard of her by now, however we refer to her as Chaz- the seer and prophetess of the Wild Ones. She is one of the very few humans that can see us and hear us.

In the human world, Chaz was unwelcome. She was different. Every day she'd walk to school and was bullied relentlessly. She wore all black, dark eyeliner, and listened to music as she wrote stories in her book about mystical beings that only she could see. Others thought she was crazy- she was seen as different, strange. None of the other humans took pity on her for her different thoughts, instead they enjoyed torturing her.

Every day she was tortured, at school, and at home. There was no safe place for her. Then one day, it became too much for Chaz, and she decided she'd like to meet me. I do not like meeting humans- not when they decide they want to meet me. You see, once a human decides to meet me- they are trying to kill their bodies to let their souls be free. They commit suicide.

It was an October, late at night. The leaves had started changing into flaming reds, yellows, and oranges. I made my way down a silent street with my scythe in hand. I stood in front of a suburban house. There were two floors, and large windows- most would think of it as a nice house. I sighed and stepped to the door. The humans wouldn't notice the door silently open and close- they never noticed anything I did other than taking souls. I made my way upstairs, knowing full well the scene that I would find.

There she was, hanging from the ceiling fan. I sighed, and tapped the pale face, placing the tip of my scythe at her forehead, then slid it down the way I always did- slicing until her belly button. My scythe does not cut the way a knife cuts- there is no blood, no pain, nothing. I am just bringing her soul out of the body it is trapped in.

Out of the hanging body, I saw a white hand reach out. I grabbed it, assisting the soul in escaping it's body trap. Souls take shape of the bodies they are trapped in- therefore the soul standing in front of me was just a while, glowing version of the hanging body she had escaped from.

"Hello, I am The Mourner. I am here to help guide you if you choose." I explained, the same lines I have repeated to countless souls.

"I'm Eve." The girl whispered. Her arms wrapped around her as she hugged her body tightly and shivered. Her eyes were wide and she looked afraid, but tears stained her cheeks.

"I know Eve. May I ask why you're crying?"

"I.... I don't know.... I thought all the bad stuff would end if I would kill myself, but now I'm just cold, confused, and afraid." She whispered.I nodded and sat down on the edge of her bed, then patted it for her to sit with me. I pulled my hood down, allowing her to see my face.

"Please Eve, come sit down and talk with me?" I offered, attempting to help her- perhaps give her a second chance. She reluctantly nodded and came to sit down next to me, still shivering.

"Why is it so cold?"

"You have no more body heat- you are just a soul now. You will get use to it eventually- perhaps I will give you my cloak for warmth?" I offered. She shivered and nodded. I gave her my cloak.

"I've seen you before." She whispered. My brow furrowed, I became extremely confused.

"What do you mean? I remember all the souls I have met and guided, and you are not one of them." I explained, still confused.

"You came for my brother Damian two years ago. He was in a car crash. I was in the hospital room and I saw you and him, and a glowing white version of him came out of his body even though his body looked untouched. I watched the entire thing." She explained. My eyes widened as I remembered and realized her words were true.

"H-how did you see me?" I asked shocked. She just shrugged.

"I don't know why I see stuff, I just do. I write stories about the stuff I see, but people think I'm weird and strange. They pick on me, and that's why I'm here actually. I couldn't deal with them anymore and I gave up." She whispered. I sighed and nodded.

"Do you know why they think it's weird and strange? Why do they pick on you?" I asked, hoping she had seen the creatures behind that as well. If she did- then she'd be a great asset in aiding The Wild Ones and I.

"There are these cloaked beasts... they have staffs and skull masks on their faces. They tell everyone to pick on me..." She whispered and shuddered. I nodded and wrapped my arms around her, attempting to both soothe her, and warm her shivering soul.

"Those are what we call Wretcheds. They are soldiers of an organization called F.E.A.R. We have been battling them for years without the humans knowing- but it's getting to the point where they are the strongest they have ever been, and we grow weaker." I explained solemnly. She nodded and sighed.

"That's not right... I wish they would go away... they're horrible." She muttered, looking down at her hands. I smirked as I thought to myself.

"Eve, if I place you back into your body- if I give you a second chance at life... you can help us fight against F.E.A.R. What do you say? We might have a chance at beating them with you!" I said confidently as I thought it through. She hesitated.

"When you say 'We' who do you mean?" She asked.

"We stands for myself, The Destroyer, The Deviant, The Mystic, and of course, our leader, The Prophet. Together we are known as The Wild Ones, and we are in a battle against F.E.A.R. to save the humans." I explained. She nodded and after a few minutes of silence, she took in a breath. I chewed on my lip, anxious of what she was going to say.

"I.... I dunno.... Will I see you more often?" She stuttered.

I flashed a gentle smile and nodded.

"Then... then I'll do it! I will help you and The Wild Ones fight against F.E.A.R." She said, and smiled.

Notes

Okay, so this is a new story idea. I don't know what's going to happen, or how far I'm gunna get into this. It's just an idea that I HAD to write in order for it to get out of my head. :)

If anyone wants to help me co-write this or has any ideas for me, PLEASE tell me, I'd LOVE as much input as possible!
