I Love You More Than I Could Ever Scream

What Is Love?

Andy POV
Nicole and I sat in the food court just talking. The more I learned about her, the more I liked her. I didn't have to talk about myself very much since she was a fan. I learned that she lived with Alex, she enjoys shopping, volleyball, and all types of music from country to rock n roll. She doesn't listen to much rock music, though. Just our songs.
'Hey, you should come back to our bus with us." I suggest.
Her eyes brighten. "Yeah, I'd love to. Can Alex come, too?"
"Yeah, of course." I say. "I'll call Ash and tell them to meet us here."
Ash POV
I hear my phone ring in my pocket and I pull it out. "Hello?"
"Hey we're bringing the girls back with us." Andy says.
"Oh, bringing them back with us? To the bus? I think I know where you're going with this." I joke, smirking.
"Not like that, you perv." He says. "We'll meet you and Alex at the food court."
He hangs up. I walk back over to where Alex was looking at CD's, but she's not there. That's strange. She wasn't in the other part of the store either. I was just there. A man, probably the owner of the store asks me, "Can I help you find something?"
"Actually, yeah. Have you seen a girl with long black hair and a black shirt?" I ask.
"Yeah, she left a couple minutes ago. Left? I turn and rush out of the store. Did she actually get lost? I was just kidding when I had said that to her. I suddenly spot a long-haired girl looking at some shirts through a window display. I walk up to her. When I reach her, I grab her arm and turn her towards me.
"Ow, Ashley, that hurts!" She complains.
"Why'd you run off?" I ask.
"What, were you worried or something?"
"Yes, I was." I admit.
Alex pulls away. "Well you don't have to treat me like a child. I can take care of myself." She turns and begins to walk.
What is with this girl? I just admitted to her that I worried about her and she isn't even impressed. This is why I don't like getting into relationships. Friends with benefits are so much better.
I catch up with her and grab her hand, walking side-by-side with her.
She immediately pulls her hand away. "What the hell, Ash! Knock it off!"
I guess she's one of those girls who don't like to be touched. Or she's on her period.
"Andy wants us to meet him and Nicole at the food court." I inform her.
"Does that mean I get to go home? Yay."
I scoff. So she wants to play that game. The I-really-hate-you-but-I'm-forced-to-hang-out-with-you game. Well it takes two to play a game like that. I'll just have to do everything in my power to annoy the crap out of her. Easy.
"Actually, you two are coming back to the tour bus with us." I correct her.
I can see her clench her jaw. I drape an arm around her shoulder. "That means you'll get to spend even more time with me!" I say in an excited tone.
"Knock it off, Purdy!" She takes her fist to my stomach, probably as hard as she can. It hurt a little, but for a moment or two, I was worried that she had hurt her hand. That's what you get when you try to punch rock hard abs.
I remove my arm. "Alright, alright. Calm down."
"I am calm." She mutters.
When we get to the food court, we see Andy and Nicole waiting for us.
Nicole's eyes light up. "Aw, you're wearing his shirt!" She says in a girly, excited tone.
Alex rolls her eyes. "Joy." She says sarcastically.
"Did you two have fun?" Andy asks.
"Tons." She throws yet another sarcastic remark.
"Well someone likes to be sarcastic." I say.
"You can bet your ass I do."
I smirk. "You'd like it if I bet my ass to you, wouldn't you?"
Alex groans. "You're so stupid!"
"I can sense some tension between you two." Nicole points out.
Alex bites her lip, holding back another remark. She actually looked quite cute when she did that.
"So. Let's go." She suddenly speaks up. "And Purdy, stop staring at me."
"Sorry. Can't help it. You're just so darn hot." I smirk when she sticks her tongue out at me.
Nicole starts to push Alex forward. "Alrighty, let's start leaving, shall we?"
I look after the two girls when they are leaving.
"They're great, aren't they?" Andy asks.
I look at Alex again before answering. The way her long hair was perfectly straight, how my shirt fit great on her, and her ripped jeans showed off her nice tan legs. I envisioned her face. Thin cheeks, deep blue eyes, dainty nose...
"Ash, hello?"
I blink. "Oh, yeah. I guess you could say that. I've seen better." I lie. But to be honest, I haven't seen better. Sure, some girls had bigger boobs and blonde, curly hair, but Alex was perfect in her own ways.
Nicole went to go get something out of her car, so Alex came back towards us.
"She just seems so perfect to me. Is this normal? Am I sick, you think?"
"Not sick." Alex speaks up. "Just in love."
Andy looks down at her. "Thank you. What do you think it means to be in love?"
Alex thinks for a moment before answering. "It means you find someone perfect, even when they have flaws. When you see their flaws as perks."
I look down at Alex. Strong, truthful words for a little person filled with such negativity. Then again, I've only seen her negative side. Since I'm always so mean to her. I haven't had the joy to see her positive side yet. But I want to. I want to be the reason that positive side comes out.
