I woke up to the sound of Andy gently singing'The morticians daugther' (The song he wrote of me.) Under his breath, and stroking my hair. I smiled, and turned and nuzzeled into his chest. "Morning babe." He said, gently kissing my head. "Morning, how long have you been awake?" I asked, kissing his chest. "Not long, about 20 minutes."
"Oh." He grinned at me, and I grinned back. I heard someone banging about in the room next to us, and I sighed. "Sounds like Dermots up."
"Who?"
"Dermot, he's my uncle, but he's more like a brother to me and he dosent like me calling him uncle."
"Oh. Your familys huge, but it feels like a home if you get what I mean."
"Yes, i understand what you mean. I havent felt like I'm at home for a long time."
"Yeah, I wonder what he's doing now."
"I don't know and I couldent care less."
"Neither could I. He's a piece of shit that isn't worth anyones time."
"I know he is. Well, we better get up otherwise there'll be no breakfast left. I said, relseaing myself from Andys arms, and pulling out a pair of shorts, fishnetts, and a crop top. Andy smiled at me, and I turned to him. "Ok Ok, i'm going." He said, getting up, pulling on a pair of jeans, and leaving the room so I could get dressed. I loved him so much, but I didn't want to rush into things, and I didn't know what to even if things did heat up. "It's ok, it's safe." I said, and he walked back into the room. He slipped on a black tee-shirt, and we both went downstairs, hand in hand into the Kitchen. "Good morning Sweetie, toast?" Nana asked, pouring the kettle. "Please Nana."
"Do you want some petal?" Nana asked Andy. "Yes please Mrs Brown." He said, sitting down at the table beside me. "Hello Midnight, havent seen you for ages, how are you?" Dermot asked, walking into the kitchen and planting a kiss on my cheek. "I'm alright Dermot, you?"
"Not too bad, me and malissa are expecting babies."
"Really? Oh my god congradulations!" I said, jumping up, and pulling him into a hug. "Where is she?"
"She's at work at the moment but I'll tell her your here and she'll pop in later." He said, and I grinned at him, sitting back down to eat my toast. Emily, Nan's next door neighbour, walked in the back door, and looked at me. "Midnight?" "Hello Emily, how are you?"
"I'm good, jesus how much you've grown." She said, kissing the top of my head lightly. She sat down to. Then Shanna, Emilys daughter entered, and said hello too. Then Rory and Malissa entered to. Then Aunt Cathy, Uncle Micky, Barbra, Bruno, Bobby, Uncle Trevor, and Granddad came in to join the gathering to.
Malissa was Dermots pregnant wife, and Bobby was Dermots long term best friend, Uncle Micky and Barbra were married, and Bruno was there son, Uncle Trevor was a nun, and was home for a while from the missions, and Granddad was 92, and was the lovliest old man you could ever wish to meet.
My family. My amazing family, all crammed into one small kitchen.

We were all in the front room, watching the TV, still celebrating our little family renuinon. Dermot and Malissa walked in, and everyone hushed up as they stood there. "We have an annoucencment, well, two really, the first one is, I need to go for another scan in the morning, the doctor thinks it might be twins.." Malissa said, grinning. There was a rush of excitiment run through everyone. We all yelled, and ran at her. "And the second piece of news is, really a question. Mignight..." Dermot said, looking at me. "Yes."
"We would like you to be the godparent, that is if you would like to. Everyone helf there breath, looking at me. "Dermot I.....Would love to!" I yelled, running at them, pulling them into a tight hug. Everyone cheered, as we embraced. I was as happy as I could be....but moments like this, cannot last forever, and life always throws curve balls at you at any given chance.....
