You Saved Me

Ashley's POV: After I was ready, it was about time to head out so I could pick up Katie for the party, so I grab my keys, phone, and wallet, then head out. I get into my SUV, then pull out of the drive with ease, and head in the direction of her place.
Once there, I pull in, get out of my car, and walk up to the door, gently knocking a couple times. Dahvie answers it, then lets me in while telling me she'd be down shortly. I nod, then we head into the living room, and wait for her.
"Here comes the beautiful Micro!" I hear Jeffree's familiar voice gush, as he steps into sight, followed by Jayy.
I stand up, then walk over to the staircase, and feel my breath leave my lungs in a gasp. She's absolutely stunning!
Her red and black hair has been pulled back into a low ponytail, her eyes are framed in red and black, her lips painted in red, and the dress she's wearing is strapless, black leather top with a flowing red skirt. She's wearing studded high heels, white out contacts, and in her hand she holds a silver clutch that sparkles in the dim light, and a leather jacket in her other.
She looks like a goddess, who has no business being with a guy like me.
"You okay over there, lover boy?" Dahvie teases me.
"Bro, seriously, be nice," Katie scolds him gently, as she wraps her arm around mine.
"We'll see you lovers later," Jeffree says, "But we don't expect to see you home tonight, missy."
"Jeffree!" Katie shouts out in shock, blushing as deep red as her dress.
"What? Not like I'm lying, babe," he says, winkng at her.
She rolls her eyes at him, while I try to hide my smirk, then we walk out the door and I help her into my car. Once she's in, she pulls me by my shirt and kisses me soundly before letting go.
This time I openly smirk at her, then kiss her again, and walk over to my side. I get in, then pull out of the drive, and once we're on the main road, Katie rests her head on my shoulder, gently closing her eyes like she's dead tired.
"You okay, baby?" I ask her, taking one hand off the wheel and wrapping it around her shoulders.
"Yeah. Just tired," she says through a yawn.
"How?" I ask, confused by this.
"I couldn't sleep last night, and Jeffree, Dahvie, and Jayy all decided I needed to be up about 9 this morning, so yeah..." she explains, yawning again.
"Would you like me to stop somewhere and get you a Monster?" I ask her, kissing the top of her head.
"Mmm...Please," she says sleepily.
"Alright," I say, pulling into a gas station, then running inside and grabbing 2 cans of the green and black can of Monster. I pay for them, then head back out to the car, and pass one to Katie.
She thanks me, then takes a welcome sip of the drink, as I pull out of the parking lot and drive about a mile down the road and pull into the studio. I run around the car, then help Katie out, where we're greeted by the guys and their girls.
The girls pull Katie into their little group and talk animatedly about Katie's dress change and I wonder why Sammi seems quite miffed about it. I then find out when I hear her say something about that not being the dress they picked out together, which Katie replies to with things like "it wasn't my idea" and "blame Jeffree".
Once we get inside the studio though, I ask Katie if she plans on drinking. She says no, so I say, "Well, in that case, would you mind if I had a beer?"
"Babe, you don't have to ask me if you can have a beer or not. I could care less," she replies, then kisses my cheek.
I smile down at her, then say, "I knew there was a reason I loved you so much. Anyway, would you like something to drink?"
"No thanks, babe. I still have my Monster," she says, holding the can up for me to see.
"Alright, baby," I say, kissing her forehead then making my way through the crowd.
I quickly grab myself a beer, then make my way back to Katie, only to find some dude I don't know flirting with her. I narrow my eyes at him, then walk the few feet it takes to get to them.
"Hey, baby," Katie says, seeming relieved that I'm back.
"Hey, babe," I reply, wrapping my arm around her and pulling her close, then gesture with my beer at the guy and ask, "Who's your friend?"
"Oh, we just met," she says, "Ashley, this is Brandon. Brandon, this is my boyfriend, Ashley."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know she was taken," the guy says, "Umm...You're a lucky man."
"That I am," I reply with a fake smile, "In fact, tonight I have a surprise for my dear girlfriend."
"I see, well, I'll just be going," Brandon says awkwardly, then walks away swiftly.
"Thank you," Katie says leaning into me.
"Anytime, babe," I say, "But I do have a surprise for you."
"Really?" she asked, arching a perfect eyebrow at me.
"Of course. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it," I tell her, taking a drink of my beer and thinking of the little ring I asked Andy to hold onto for me.
(2 hours later)
I was hanging out with the guys while Katie was with the girls, and I ask Andy for the ring. He smirks at me, then he reaches in his pocket and passes it to me.
"So, it's official, huh?" Jinxx asked, "Old Ashley Purdy is going to settle down?"
"Yeah. I almost can't believe it either, man," I tell him, opening the small velvet box and showing it to them.
"She'll love that," Jake says, nodding in approval.
"I hope so. It's custom made," I say, closing the box and sticking it in my pocket.
"When you going to ask her?" Andy asked.
I sigh, looking straight ahead, then say, "I don't know. Sometime tonight, but I'm just not sure when exactly, man. Any suggestions?"
They all look at one another, then I see CC smirk and tell us to wait here, as he runs over to John. What is he up to?
I don't have to wait long for an answer, since he returns soon after and passes me something. I look at it, and see it's mistletoe. I arch an eyebrow at him questioningly, then he says, "We'll cover for you, but take that back to your house, put it in the garden area, since she seems to love it so much, and ask her. When she says yes, since we all know she will, point to it, and use a cheesy line on her."
I think about this, then sigh, but don't have the chance to hide the mistletoe or reply to him before Katie is sitting on my lap, followed by the other girls doing the same to the rest of the guys.
Without saying a word, Katie takes the small plant from my hand, and holds it above us with a small smile. I can't help my laughter, then I kiss her and say, "We should probably head home soon, but I still need to give you your surprise before we leave."
"Alright," she says, then kisses me again.
I stand up, helping her to her feet too, then I lead her outside to a small tree covered area of the studio grounds that they've decorated with white christmas lights and light blue garland.
I have us stand in the center of the small clearing then face her and say, "Katie Monroe-Vanity. You have been everything I could ask for and more. I actually sometimes don't feel I deserve you, but I've brought you out here to ask you something," I pause as I take a deep breath, then sink to one knee and pull the ring out. I swallow back my fears and ask, "Katie, will you please do my the honor of becoming my wife? Please say you'll marry me?"
