You Saved Me
Merch Boy
Katie's POV: I sigh as I enter the bathroom. I'll just have to make the best of the shitty year to come. Yeah, that's what I'll do. High school. More like the worst four years of your life. I look at my razor, then grab it, and pull out the loose blade I discovered a couple days ago on it. I then look in the mirror, and whisper, "I'm sorry, Ashley." I take the blade into the shower with me, then lightly slice into my leg, since they check my wrists. I then repeat the motion a few more times and put the blade back in my razor. I watch my blood trickle down the drain, and when the water runs clear, I wash my body off. I get out, then dressed, and head back out to the parking lot of the venue with my skateboard. I ride it all around the venue, not doing many tricks, or really seeing where I'm going. All I can think about, is how many people will bully me when I get back. How I'll be kicked around like an old Subway wrapper, and no one will give a shit. I then run smack into someone, knocking both of us to the ground. Ouch. I look over to find one of the merch guys. I think his name is Aiden. Oh, fuck me. "I'm so sorry," I apologize as I help him gather up the fallen t-shirts. "Hey, it's cool. I wasn't paying attention, so it's my fault," he says, "I'm Aiden, by the way. And you're Katie. Jayy and Dahvie's little sister, right?" "Umm...yeah. That's me," I answer. He nods, and grabs another shirt, placing it back in the box. He then says, "Thanks for the help, but I really need to be going. Gotta get these inside before the boss has a field day on my ass. It was nice to meet you, Katie." "Umm...Aiden, please allow me to help you unload all this," I say. "Nah. I got this, Katie. Maybe some other time," he says, then winks, and walks away. I shake my head, then grab my board, and begin riding again. This time paying attention to where I'm going. Aiden's POV: Wow. She's even prettier in person. I mean, I've seen her on stage and around the venues, but she's a lot prettier up close. I also know that she's dating Ashley Purdy, and I really don't have a chance in hell, but a guy can hope, right? I sigh as I set the busted box of t-shirts down, and head out for another. Who am I kidding? She wouldn't dare leave Ashley fucking Purdy for a sorry assed, struggling guitar player, who works as a merch boy, just to keep myself fed. She probably won't even remember me if we ever ran into each other again. Oh well...
