Diary Of My Escape From Hell
Escaping Hell
Cloe's POV
Cloe-Ashlyn was eight pounds and four ounces, she was born at five fifty six this morning. She didn't move. She didn't cry. She just lay there in my arms.
"Miss Cloe. May we run some tests? Under your supervision?" A midwife asked. I nodded. They bustled around me but it was a blur, Juliet looked at me with a red tear covered face. She hugged her bump. Lauren held Terence whilst looking at Cloe-Ashlyn with deep sorrow. Ashley kept his gaze on the floor and kicked imaginary stones. This is it, without my baby girl he has no reason to be with me. He has been spending so much time with Andy. Maybe they will be happy together, better off without me.
I got up and gave Ashley our child, "I need a minute." I mumbled.
I turned off my thoughts and my body went into auto pilot, I found myself in the disabled toilet down the hall. I punched the mirror shattering my reflection, shards fell and my body knew that this was the last time. My lungs took the strongest breaths I have ever experienced, I could feel my heartbeat through my chest. My hand dragged the shard vertically up my arm, then did the same to the other. My legs buckled as the blood loss took over, I fell to my knees. My story is over, they can tell theirs now. My vision was a blur as I fell on my back, I heard someone shouting.
It was muffled, Ashley. "Cloe! She's alive! Cloe-Ashlyn is alive!" He shook me as other people fumbled with my arms.
"Ashley," my voice was weak, "this is my escape from hell." I smiled.
DARKNESS ENVELOPED ME.
I WAS GONE.
