Chapter 28
Catherine texts me for the first time in two weeks, waking Andy and I up with the ringtone.
Catherine: hey how's tour? You and ballsack doing well?
Indiana: *Biersack. And yes, we're moving in together after tour.
Catherine: But what if he hits you again! He is a bastard and you are living with me. Indiana, no. Not going to happen.
Indiana: I'm an adult and can make my own decisions. I'm twenty years old for fucks sake, I love Andy and I want to move in with him. I trust him cat, he's proved that he won't ever do it again.
Catherine: well don't come crying to me if that asshole starts beating the shit out of you as soon as you get moved in.
Indiana: fuck you, Andy has changed.
Catherine: people never change!
Indiana: well look at me now versus before junior year! And you say people can't change!
Catherine: he changed you. No one changes on their own and a singer in a filthy 80's hair band replica sure isn't going to.
Indiana: I don't need to listen to your criticism, I have the one I love right beside me and that is all that I need.
I put my phone down at that and lay my head on Andy's chest once again. He is back to softly snoring so I join him once more in a peaceful slumber until we are to be awoken.
Despite almost falling asleep halfway through black veil brides' set due to the exhaustion of touring finally creeping in my bones, they played a great show. Although Andy did have a coughing fit twice in between songs which began to worry me. If he gets sick most likely I will get sick and I hate getting sick. Andy finishes the final notes of fallen angels I begin to head backstage where the guys are waiting in the green room. Jinxx, cc and Ashley have all begun taking shots but I feel like being a bit sober on the last night of this tour.
"Do you want to just go back to the hotel and get out of here?" Andy whispers into my neck, planting a hot kiss there as I lean into his clutches. I simply shrug, "maybe you should talk to the fans waiting to meet you by the bus first, then we could do that. And babe, we aren't staying in a hotel tonight."
With a giggle, I head outside, pulling Andy along with me since I know it is cold and those fans desperately waiting to meet their idols should not have to get frostbite to do so.
"Andy, hurry your ass up!" I call out while standing in the open door to the outside. I had left my sweatshirt in the bus so now I am shivering in a tank top. A girl older than I am comes up to me and asks, "is Andy coming out? I have to get back to my kids and I was hoping to meet him?"
"He should be." I shrug, raising my voice slightly to call out, "Maybe if he realized his girlfriend is freezing in a tank top out here he would hurry up!"
She laughs nervously, shifting her wait while I tap my foot impatiently.
"He will never come out if I'm not coaxing him but I'm so cold." I groan to myself, glancing towards the bus. Quickly, I let the door shut and step fully into the chilly night air, walking as fast as I can to the silver bus. I grab the first jacket I see, not caring who's it is or the fact that it is gigantic on me. When I get back out I find that Andy is finally out talking to fans so I snap a few pictures before going up to him.
"Hey, so bus call is at 2. I have to go get some stuff from the drug store and I'll see you soon." I whisper in his ear and place my lips on his cheek. He turns away from the fan he was talking to to place a light kiss on my lips and whisper, "I love you. I might be out with the guys so just call me if we're not on the bus."
"Don't cheat on me with any strippers!" I giggle, "I love you too."
"I won't." He winks, turning back to his fans as I walk away to the Walgreens on the corner of the street.
As I return with a shopping bag full of 'feminine products' as they called them in the store, I notice Andy still outside talking to the last fan that's left. I still have time for my prank then. Quickly, I slip on to the bus, head to the bathroom and pull out the bottle of red Gatorade I had bought.
"Indie? You in here?" Andy calls out into the bus. I take a deep breath and shout with a slight waver in my voice, "ya- I'm- I'm back here."
"Are you alright baby?" He asks, his voice coming closer along with footsteps.
"N-no..." I almost whisper, trying to hide the smile on my face as I make sure I'm in the right position. The door cracks open slightly as he asks, "can I come in?"
"Y-ya."
I contain a smile as Andy gasps, taking in the scene I had created. He rushes by my side, a look of worry on his handsome features.
"What happened?"
"I-I think I was pregnant." I say with ragged breaths, looking down at my bare legs. The red liquid I am surrounded by reaches Andy's feet as I gasp for breath, feeling tears prick in my eyes. "I think I had a miscarriage."
"Oh-" Andy looks down at the ground in shock, as if searching for the baby.
"It happened while I was on the toilet. We don't even get to- to see what would have been our child." I say in almost a whisper, letting tears slip out as Andy lifts me off the ground and pulls me into a tight hug. Before I can say anything he is taking off my t-shirt and turning on the shower, getting a few paper towels from under the sink to clean up the mess I made. I step into the shower, still playing the part of the girl who just lost the child she did not know about, watching Andy as he cleans up the Gatorade with extra food coloring. He looks up at me and bites his lip, "do you think-"
"I don't think that if I was probably a little less than a month along that it would be anyone else's."
"But you're on birth control, how could this have happened?" Andy asks in almost a whisper, dropping the soaked paper towels into the trash can before washing his hands.
"It can still happen." I sigh, stepping out of the shower and stepping in to Andy's arms. He kisses my forehead and whispers, "I love you."
"I love you too Andy."
"Indie..." Andy looks me in the eyes, a sense of happiness filling them as he asks, "do- do you want to have a baby with me? Maybe we could try for one when we get back? I mean, now that I know you were pregnant I feel as though we would be great parents to our child soon."
My eyes widen as he says this and I take a step back, shaking my head frantically. "No! Andy it was a prank! That was Gatorade and food coloring! I didn't actually have a miscarriage!"
"I know." Andy chuckles, kissing my forehead. "Blood is darker and thicker, also I unfortunately know what a miscarriage looks like. That's how I found out my last girlfriend was cheating on me."
"Well then my prank didn't work." I sigh, looking up at Andy's smile. He smirks and tells me to get dressed because he has an idea. Once I am changed Andy pulls me out the door and shouts to the front of the bus, "hey are you guys all here?"
"Ya!" Jake calls back. Andy and I walk forward with excited smiles and we burst out, "guess what?"
Cc raises an eyebrow while Jinxx shrugs. Andy places his hand on my stomach to add to the affect as I squeal, "We're pregnant!"
