A couple of weeks passed and I never saw him again. I knew he would have forgotten me. Still, just to make sure, I stayed away from all the places that I've seen him. I've been going to the other side of New York to shop. I told the family about him and they think its just a stage. I'll get over the smell, he would forget me.

"Whatever you think is the right thing to do, its all up to you." Blake and Makana told me. Avery thinks its a good idea that I fell in love. Dillon thinks I should change him.

"He might know our secret." He said and I just stayed away from Andy. But I've been missing that cigarette smell. I have been wanting his company and now I'm getting attached. So I decided to go back to the park.

"I just miss the trees and comfort that I feel in the park." I tried to convince myself as I ran to it. But deep down in my mind I knew the actual reason. I wanted to meet him again and this might be where he's at. I was about half way through when I finally gave up. I sat down on a bench.

"How stupid can I be? Trying to find this... Human. I'm so sick." He probably did forget about me. That made my stomach turn. Just then a gust of wind came and brought cool air and with it, was that cigarette scent I missed so much. I automatically jerked my head up. I looked from where the wind blew.

My breath became jagged as I looked then I saw... A girl pulling a cigarette out of her mouth to take a long breath. I sighed. Standing up, I looked down and walked past her.

"She must be freezing." The girl said and I thought about my outfit. I didn't have a heavy jacket, and I was wearing a short skirt and thin tights. I just walked faster, still at human speed. Suddenly I smelled the cigarette again.

"Stupid girl." I muttered and looked up in front of me. This time it wasn't her, it was Andy. I could see in his face that he knew something. I just stood there with my fist in my pocket. He also stood there, staring at me. Finally I walked over to and hid behind some trees. I wanted to see if he would follow.

He did.

"Hello," I said as he looked at me. Even with sunglasses on, I could see the darkness in his cheeks from the wind.

"Take off your sunglasses." He demanded.

"Why should I?" I asked and he just stood there, not moving,

"I want to se again."

"See what?"

"Your eyes." I thought about it. I was in the shade, no sun was on me.

"Fine." I said and removed them. He stayed there speechless.

"You have contacts in." He said in disbelief.

"No I don't." I said.

"Your eyes should be silver, not green."

"Why do you say that?" I questioned as I took in his scent.

"When I saw you weeks ago, they were silver when the sun was on them." Oh now he had it. Great.

"Yeah... Whatever." He started to walk towards me, grabbing my arm and trying to pull me into the sun. I was too strong for him.

"Just as I thought." He mumbled and I stood still as a statue as I looked at the ground.

"What did you think?"

"Strength. You have it and everything else." He took a breath. "I know what you are." I just stood there, it was my turn to be frozen.

"What am I then?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't say what I thought he was going to say.

"At first I didn't believe it, but then I did more research and got scared. I thought it couldn't b true. Now I know."

"And..."

"You are aren't you?" He asked, staring deeply into my eyes.

"What do you think I am?" I was started to get irritated by his procrastinating.

"They cant exist, but here you are."

"What do you think I am?" I asked again, a little more irked than before. His face was surprisingly calm when I looked up.

"A... Vampire." He whispered and I faked a laugh.

"Yeah right and you also think werewolves are real am I correct?" I asked and couldn't believe he was still standing in front of me.

"Why do you talk like that, then?"

"Like what?"

"Like your from another century."

"That's how I was raised."

"You promised."

"I lied." I mumbled and he smiled.

"So you admit it." Oh shit. "You are a vampire." Did I just fall for that? Shit, shit, shit, now he knows...

"Why did you come?" I asked, looking down again.

"What?"

"You said you were frightened. Why did you come?"

"I don't know. When I first saw that there was a possibility that you were a vampire I was so scared I was shaking. Then I thought about you and got over it thinking about you. Its what I said before. I. Love. You." He spit the word as he walked closer to me.

"How... How can you be in love with a monster? A creature that shouldn't even exist?" I took a step back and hit a tree, scraping some bark off.

"I don't know. I just am." He thought some more. "You're not a monster." He added.

"How do you know? I have killed people of your kind. You make me want to kill you just by the way you smell."

"Then why haven't you?"

"I don't know. I held myself back. You're still not scared, are you?" I asked, staring at him in disbelief.

"No."

"I don't think you know what I really am. How I work."

"Tell me." If I do, maybe for his own sake he will run. Get away from me.

"I don't have blood running through y veins. My heart doesn't beat and I have no warmth in my body. I am the walking dead. I'm years older than you and I'm immortal. As you grow old I'll stay like this." I said, waving a hand around my body, "I drink blood."

"Human?" Andy gulped.

"No, my family drinks animal, but not all do. We are one of the very few that do. And sometimes we slip up." I stopped wondering if he was starting to run. Of course not.

"Everyone makes mistakes." Was all he said.

"Mistakes, these are lives I'm talking about. People like you I wanted to kill you." And still, he didn't look scared. At all.

"What's wrong with you?" I inquired and he juswt looked at me.

"What do you mean?"

"Your not a normal human. You should be running right now. Not just standing here taling it all in."

"It doesn't bother me." I opened my mouth to say something, but he stopped me.

"I love you and no matter what you say, I will always love you."

"That's just a human emotion. It'll fade away."

"Your stubborn."

"You are too." I said and he smiled.

"Shall we go?" He asked, looking me in the eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"You said when I got it right I could take you not on a ate. Why not go now?" I could think of a couple of things. I just didn't have enough power to say those things. Not enough power to say no.

"I don't know." I lied and he started to walk. I followed without a word. When we got back on the path he looked at me, reached down to me hands and took my sunglasses, and put them on my face.

"So in the sun your eyes change?" He asked.

"Yes, the green is just a disguise. That's how we can live in this world with humans not knowing about us, well, not including you." I said and just looked straight ahead.

Just then a vision of a branch falling made its way into my mind. Once it was gone, I saw that it was the one that we were about to walk through. I grabbed Andy's arm and pulled him away right when it fell.

"Wow, if you wouldn't have pulled me away that would have...." Then he thought about it. "You can see the future." He said and I just looked down and didn't answer him. I let go of his arm and let it flop to my side.

"It's okay," He held out his hand, and I thought about it for two minutes, just looking at it.

"You can trust me." He told me and I slipped away from my thoughts. "You don't eat, do you? Not human food anyway."

"I can, but choose not to."

"What happens if you do?"

"My body reject it after a few hours and I gag it back up." I said out of personal experience.

"Gross," He mumbled and I laughed a little bit.
