Devil's Awakening

-Cat's POV-

I looked at Haley, my eyes widened with fear. I reached for my pone, answering on speaker. "H-hello?" I stuttered. "Uh, yeah hi. It's Jinxx. This is Catarina, right?" A voice responded from the other end. I cringed at the sound of my full name. "Yes, it is. How are you?" I asked, trying to sound decent. "Well, I just got into a divorce with Sammi" He said, sighing softly. I froze, unsure of what to say. "I-I'm so sorry Jinxx. Is there anything I can do to help you feel better?" I wondered aloud, my sympathy getting the best of me. "You remember Ashley? He wants to throw a party for me and I was wondering if you could come? You can bring anybody with you, I honestly don't care." Jinxx was panting as he said the blurb of words, spilling them out faster than a rapper. "Uhh, are you sure? We barely talk" I trailed off, looking at Haley for help. She simply shrugged and started texting someone, probably that Henry guy. Jinxx's answer was hesitant, but eventually a small "Yes" came from the other end. "Alright. I guess me and Haley will be over soon." I siad my goodbye, and hung up, almost in tears. Haley looked up at me and rolled her eyes. "Get over it. Grow some ovaries, and go get your man." she said, her voice sharp. I jumped off of the couch and hovered above her. "Don't you dare talk to me like that!" I shrieked, my eyes burning and my legs shaking with anger.
