I slowly awoke from a deep sleep, happy to have ended my usual nightmare. Every night it comes, reminding me of my harmful past, and all of my deepest secrets. I turned to my alarm clock, seeing that it was only 6:43 am, meaning I have to wake my younger sister, Haley, for school. Slipping on a pair of shorts and a sweater, I made my way into Haley's room. I pressed play on her black iHome, and her iPod started blaring You Had Me At Hello by A Day To Remember. Groaning, she pulled herself out of bed and lazily threw a pillow at me. "Hey, that's no way to treat your favorite sister," I teased, ducking as the pillow flew over my head, hitting her closet doors. I opened the doors to her closet, and threw a plaid button down shirt on the edge of the bed, then made my way over to her dresser. "I want something with studs today," mumbled Haley, and she dragged herself into the bathroom to take a shower. Unsatisfied with her selection of 4 plain pairs of shorts, I grabbed a pair of mine from my room, setting them with her shirt. I rummaged through her sock/underwear drawer and found a pair of cross socks. Surprised by them, i set them with her clothes, and found her favorite pair of oxfords. "Hey, Cat?" called Haley. "What's up hun?" I yelled back, looking at her jewelry. "I got a new bag for school. It's in my closet. Could you put my school stuff in it?" I glanced at her closet, seeing a Nirvana backpack sticking out of a Hot Topic bag. "Is it the Nirvana one?" I yelled, ignoring her answer as i found her old bag and shoved the binders from it into the Nirvana backpack. I grabbed a random bracelet, ring, and pair of earrings. "I got your stuff picked out for today!" She walked in, wearing only her bra and underwear, and looked over what I picked out. "Not bad," she commented. "I should have you pick my stuff out more often." "Damn right, girly. Now hurry up. I need to make breakfast and drop you off at school," I said, rolling my eyes and walking into the kitchen. I took a peek into the fridge and saw a new pack of eggs. Hm, eggs sound good..Ooo we have bacon too. Or there's sausage..Sausage is healthier..Sausage and eggs it is! I grabbed the pack off eggs, and a small bag of mini sausages. "Sausage and eggs for breakfast! You anything else?" I asked, my voice carrying throughout our small apartment. 'No, that's fine!" I heard her faintly reply. I threw the sausage into the microwave, and set it for 3 minutes. I grabbed a small pan and turned the stove top on. Cracking the eggs into the pan, I added salt and pepper. Haley came running in, panting as she slowed to a stop. "How do I look?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. I looked at her for a few seconds, straightening out her shirt, then responded. "You look lovely." I heard her laugh under her breath. ""Go sit. Breakfast is almost ready." She was obedient, and waited politely. I slid the eggs onto a plate, along with the sausage. "Eat up, Chick. We're already running late." She got the message and scarfed her breakfast. We made our way out, lucky for us we were on the first floor. We climbed into the car, it being a 2008 Wolfsburg Edition Jetta Volkswagen. I sped to her school, kissing her cheek before she got out. "Do you want me to pick you up, or do you want to ride the bus?" She got wide eyed and simply said, "Pick me up.." Shrugging, I called after her. "Have a good day!! Make friends and all that." I drove off, heading to the nearest Starbucks, where I ran into THE Jinxx, from Black Veil Brides.
