"Ashley! When is everyone supposed to be arriving?" I asked.

"In a fe-" he was interrupted by a knock on the door. I quickly pulled the door open and was greeted by the whole of Of Mice & Men. I opened my mouth to say something, but Austin just pushed past me. I shrugged as the rest of them walked in.

"Come in." I said with a roll of my eyes. I closed the door and headed into the kitchen. I got myself a glass of water, and while I was doing so, an exasperated Jake walked in. He engulfed me in a tight embrace, leaving kisses up and down my neck.

"For Christ's sake Jake!" I said, setting my glass down harder than I meant to.

"What?" He asked.

"We're not having sex right now!" I said.

"I.."

"Yes, I'm excited, but you keep on trying to push me. That won't make me want to, alright? I'm sorry for snapping at you, it's just you keep trying to get me in bed." I said. Jake nodded and kissed my lips ever so gently.

"I'll stop." He whispered.

"Thank you." I said with a peck to his lips. He smiled and led me out of the kitchen. More people had arrived, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even half the people Ashley had invited.

"How many people did you invite?" I asked said man as I approached him.

"The same as last time. I guess it just looks like more. We haven't had party in a long time." He said. I nodded and retreated to Jake's side. He led me to the middle of the living room which was our supposed dance floor. I grabbed a drink from one of the tables that had been set up, and Jake grabbed one and downed it. I downed mine as well before starting to grind on Jake. He held my hip firmly with one hand while the other caressed my left side. He occasionally grabbed my ass and squeezed, lifting up my dress in the process. After dancing to at least five songs, my feet were starting to kill me. I kissed Jake passionately before heading to the bathroom. However, the door was locked and it sounded like someone was being pushed up against the door. Not wanting to disturb anyone, I headed to Jake's and my room. There was a couple on the bed, to which I told them to leave. Thankfully they were clothed. I closed the bedroom door behind me and I locked it before heading to the bathroom we had in there. After doing my business and fixing my makeup and hair, I headed back out to find someone to talk to. After failing, I headed outside, finding Jake sitting in the grass.

"Hey." I said as I sat next to him.

"Hey baby. Whatcha up to?" He asked.

"Nothing much. Enjoying the party."

"Mmm.. that was done sexy dancing you were doing, by the way."

"I did it just for you." I said with a smirk. Jake just nodded and pulled me onto his lap.

"You love me, right?" He asked minutes later, the question taking me by surprise.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" I asked.

"Good, cause I love you too." He said quietly. He leaned his head on my shoulder and I leaned my head on his head.

"I can't believe we've come this far." Jake whispered. I just nodded.

"With two beautiful children, amazing friends, and an outstanding relationship." Jake said.

"Back when we were single.. I thought I'd never get you back for a minute there." I said.

"I thought I'd fucked everything up." Jake said.

"Um.. about that day when you left me..." I trailed off.

"Mhmm."

"I was so close to.. to kissing Marco that day. I was actually really glad you interrupted." I said.

"Mmm... wait what!? You almost cheated on me?" Jake asked, lifting his head up, causing me to do the same. I sighed.

"Just forget about that. It didn't happen, so can we just drop it?" I asked. Jake nodded and kissed my lips fiercely, as if to prove a point. I kissed back nonetheless.

"Babe, I don't know how much longer I can resist you. You're so fucking beautiful, and that dress just looks fucking amazing on you. I just want to rip it off and fuck you senseless." Jake said. I laughed and repositioned myself so I was straddling him. I ground my hips down onto his and he groaned.

"You tease." He growled before lifting me up and carrying me bridal style around the corner and to our Jacuzzi no one knew we had. It was sort of locked in a fence so nobody could get in even if they tried. There was a roof and some lights, everything we needed. Jake set me down and closed and locked the door behind him.

"You are so going pay." He growled in my ear. I bit my lip and caught Jake's lips with mine in a rough kiss. Jake turned the bubbles on and started stripping himself down. I slid out of my dress and underwear and stepped into the water, making sure my whole body was under the water except my head. Jake got in after me and pushed me up against the side of the Jacuzzi. I wrapped my legs around his waist and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I love you Jake." I said.

"I love you more." He replied before pushing inside me. I gasped and tightened my grip around him.

"It's been awhile." I said.

"No shit." Jake whispered before starting to thrust into me, giving me full pleasure.

"Oh fuck!" I gasped out. Jake firmly grabbed my hips and attacked my neck with kisses.

"You're so beautiful." He whispered in my ear.

"Holy shit." I panted.

"Almost there.." Jake said.

"Me too." I said as I threw my head back in pleasure.

"Oh.. my god." I said as I reached my climax. Jake quickly reached his and pulled out, kissing me quite passionately.

"I love you so fucking much." He said. I pressed myself against Jake's chest and kept my legs wrapped around him.

Ten Minutes Later~~

After drying off and heading back inside with our clothes on, we both headed to bed, clearly tired. I had changed into pajamas and i was curled up into Jake's side.

"God that was amazing." Jake said. I nodded in agreement. I could still hear the music, which meant the, party was still in full swing.

"I told you if you waited that the sex would be amazing." I said.

"No you didn't."

"Well, you should've guessed what I meant." I said with a giggle. Jake chuckled and wrapped his arms tighter around me.

"I love you." He whispered.

It goes to show that love is a powerful thing.. whether it's love for your parents, your pet, or your spouse, you should never take it for granted. What I learned that night was that I loved Jake more than anything. Nothing could break that bond between us, and you know what? Even though we did break up that one time, I never stopped loving Jake, even when I was dating Austin. Our first kiss in front of the camp fire.. the day after in the car when it was raining, Jake meant a lot to me, but now he means even more.
