I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

Once Jake and I got on the freeway, that's when it happened.

"Babe, you wanna go to dinner?" Jake asked.

"Sure. Where were you thinking about taking me?" I asked.

"How ab-"

"JAKE WATCH OUT!" I screamed

"What?" He asked as he whipped his head around, but it was too late. I smelled burnt rubber and I heard the sound of crunching metal as both cars collided. I jerked forward in my seat, almost hitting the dashboard in front of me. I yelled out in pain as my body was squeezed. All of a sudden, the spinning stopped and everything was silent. The airbags shot out, one hitting me in the face. I looked over to see if Jake was okay.

"Jake... JAKE!" I yelled, noticing he was unconscious. I unbuckled my seat belt as fast as I could, despite my aching body. I crawled over the center console and I took Jake's face in my hands.

"Jake! Please Jake, wake up!" I said. I slapped his face, but nothing happened. I sat in his lap and sobbed into his neck, hugging him tightly.

"Jake" I sobbed.

"The female is fine. Not sure about the male." A man muttered behind me. I felt hands on my waist, trying to pull me off of Jake.

"NO!" I screamed, trying to get away, but the grip tightened and I was yanked off of Jake and carried over to an ambulance.

"JAKE!"

I was sat down on the bumper of an ambulance, and the man who took me away from Jake crouched down so he was eye level with me.

"Miss, please take deep breaths. Your friend will be fine. Just calm down." He said calmly. I nodded and steadied my breaths.

"Good. Now, what's your name?" he asked.

"Claudia." I said.

"Claudia, what's your friend's name?"

"Jake." I sobbed.

"Shh. Jake will be just fine. What's your relation to Jake?"

"I'm his fiancee." I muttered.

"Alright. Now, do you have anyone I can contact so they can come pick you up? You seem to be doing just fine. No scrapes, bruises, nothing. Are you feeling okay?"

"I'm a little sore.." I said.

"Alright. You'll be fine. Tom! Can you get the male or of the car and bring him here please!?" The man yelled over his shoulder. The man known as Tom nodded and rushed over with a stretcher.

"M-my cousin..." I said.

"Great. Can I have his phone number, please?" I nodded and gave him CC's number. I just sat there, with my knees pulled up to my chest, rocking back and forth while the man was on the phone. Tom rolled Jake over and I scrambled to my feet.

"Please, miss. Sit down." Tom said. I sat back down and grabbed Jake's hand. I gave it a squeeze while a sob escaped my lips.

"Alright, miss..."

"Alderman."

"...Alderman. Your cousin is on his way with his fiancee, Ashley. I suppose you know her?" I almost laughed.

"I do." I said.

"Fantastic. Just hang tight, okay? I'm going to take your blood pressure now that you've calmed down. I just nodded as he did so. About ten to fifteen minutes later, Jake was hooked up and inside the ambulance, and CC and Ashley arrived, walking towards me, holding hands.

"Claudia! Are you okay!?" CC asked as they both reached me.

"I'm fine." I said. Ashley gave me a nice tight hug.

"Hello, sir. You must be miss Alderman's cousin.. CC. It's that correct?"

"That is absolutely correct." CC said.

"And this is?"

"My fiancee, Ashley." CC said.

"Nice to meet, you miss."

"Uh.. one hundred percent man here." Ashley said.

"I'm sorry, please excuse me." The man said.

"Not a problem, bro." Ashley said.

"We're going to have to take Mr. Pitts in now. We can't wait much longer, or else." Tom said. CC helped me up, but I quickly climbed into the ambulance and kissed Jake on the lips. I jumped back out and the doors were closed. The man who had carried me away from the wreck got in the driver's seat and they sped away with the love of my life. I turned to the person closer to me and I pulled then into me, sobbing.
