I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

I woke up and checked the time. It was midnight. I rubbed my face and sat up. I stood and walked out into the living room, my hands throbbing from when I fell. The living room light was on, and my aunt was still up. She saw me and gave me a sad smile.

"Do you have anything that I can clean my hands with? I fell earlier chasing after... him.." I said.

"Yeah. There's some stuff in the hall bath." She said. I nodded and walked to the bathroom. I quickly cleaned my hands and then washed them. I headed back out to the living room and I sat on the couch.

"I don't know what I'm going to do. Jake meant everything to me. He still does. He was all I had. I even wrote a song for him that I was going to sing next Friday, but I guess not." I said.

"What do you mean 'was going to'? You still are." She said.

"How? The song hasn't been recorded yet." I said.

"Actually... Ashley, CC, and Andy recorded the instrumental parts for you today while Jake was gone. They just need you sing with Andy." She said. I looked at the floor with wide eyes. They recorded it...

"When will I be able to do vocals?" I asked.

"This weekend... tomorrow." She said. I smiled for the first time today, but it quickly faded as I stood up and walked back to CC's room. I layed back down on the bed and fell asleep once more.

I woke up the next day at around noon. I heard loud talking in the living room which I recognized as Ashley, CC, and Andy. I stood up and quickly walked out to the living room, smiling at the three boys. It quickly faded though.

"Oh my god Claudia. Are you okay?" CC asked. He stood up and wrapped me in a tight embrace.

"I'm fine..." I said after he pulled away.

"No you're not..." Andy said.

"I know." I said. I plopped onto the couch and sat there silently.

"Do you want to record the song today?" Andy asked.

"Of course I do. Even though we broke up, I still want to sing the song for him." I said.

"Awesome. Let's go. Do you want to come back on tour?" CC asked.

"Sure. I hate not touring with my favorite cousin." I said. CC smiled a goofy smile and I left to get ready.

Once I was ready, we finally left for LA. The whole ride there, I was silent. I didn't talk, I barely moved, and no one talked to me.

"We're here." Ashley whispered in my ear. I looked at him and smiled slightly before stepping out of the car. I followed Andy into the studio with CC and Ashley behind me, being all lovey dovey, which wasn't helping me to feel better.

"Hey guys. Are you ready to record?" Jon asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Great. Let's get you all sitiated." He said. I smiled at his use of the word situated. He handed Andy and I each a pair of headphones. We entered the booth and I put the headphones on, as did Andy.

"On one, two, three." Jon said. The music started and I got prepared to sing. I sung the whole thing with Andy doing backing vocals. The last verse I let him do, but I joined in on the last line, carrying out the last word.

"That was amazing, guys. You can come on out." Jon said. I hung my headphones on the mic and walked out behind Andy.

"You wanna hear it?" Jon asked. I nodded and he played it. I listened intently as the words came.

I turned around at the end of the song.

"That was beautiful." Andy said. I crossed my arms and a tear fell. I wiped it away and felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind.

"CC.. please let go." I said. The arms disappeared from around my waist and i turned back around, ready to go back to living on a bus. We bid farewell to Jon and we all clambered back into the car.
