I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

I woke up alone and cold. I felt like shit, probably because I had a cold.. I heard thunder rumbling outside, and I smiled. I've always loved storms. I sat up slowly, knowing that if I sat up fast I'd get a headache. I looked around and the room was empty.

"Jake!?" I called, but it was barely audible. My voice was almost gone and my throat was sore. I threw the blankets off of me and I stood up. I checked the kitchen and Jake was sitting at the table with earbuds in his ears. I sat down across from him and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up and he smiled as he took out his earbuds.

"How was your nap?" Jake asked.

"Good." I said. I frowned at the sound of my voice. Jake chuckled and moved my hair out of my face.

"Don't laugh at me!" I said. Jake smiled and stood up. He took my hand and pulled me into a hug. He pulled away and put his hands on my shoulders.

"What do you wanna do babe?" Jake asked.

"I don't know... can you make me some soup?" I asked.

"Sure thing. Go sit on the couch. I wanna watch a movie with you." Jake said. He smiled and kissed my cheek, then gently pushed me in the direction of the living room. I sat on the couch and heard the tinkering of pots being moved around. I turned the tv on and I found a movie to watch. A few minutes later, Jake came out with a steaming bowl of soup.

"That was fast." I said.

"What?" Jake asked. I frowned.

"That was fast." I said a little louder.

"Oh yeah. Top Ramen only takes like three minutes. Here." He said. He handed me the bowl and a spoon, and I stirred it around until it was cool enough to eat.

"What movie is this?" Jake asked.

"The Mask." I said.

"I don't think I've ever seen it." Jake said.

"It has Jim Carrey in it." I said.

"Well, then it's bound to be good." I laughed a little before taking a bite of my food, but then spit it out.

"Jake! This is awful! What did you put in it?" I asked.

"Hey, I'm not the best cook in the world." Jake said.

"Now I know." I said. Jake laughed and handed me a cough drop, even though I didn't ask for one. I smiled and unwrapped it, then popped it into my mouth. The front door burst open, and in walked a very pissed off looking Ashley. The other three followed in suit, angry looks on their faces, except CC. Did I forget to mention that they were soaked? Well, they were.

"What the fuck is wrong?" Jake asked.

" FUCKSTICK OVER HERE IS THE PROBLEM!" Ashley yelled, pointing at CC. I flinched at Ashley's yelling, then looked over to CC, who now looked pissed.

"What did he do?" I asked.

"He fucking... He broke up with Lauren." Ashley said, keeping his voice still.

"And you're mad about that, why?" Jake asked.

"He totally fucking crushed her! What are we supposed to feel? Happy? No!" Andy said.

"Look, I did it for the best, okay? She had mentioned earlier in the week that she needed some space for awhile, so I gave it to her. End of." CC said.

"No! It's no-"

"Calm the fuck down Ashley! It's fine! He did what he felt right, just stop nagging at him." I said defensively.

"You're only saying that because-"

"It's not because he's my cousin! Alright!? Just let it go Ash!" I said. Ashley walked down the hall and into his room. The others' facial features softened, and they all took a seat on the floor, content on watching the movie.
