Bugs Don't Bite Guys Who Wear Makeup
Andy dropped her off as soon as they had climbed the stairs of the silent bus. Either everyone was still outside and they were alone or everyone was asleep. Dess was pretty sure it was the first option, which relaxed her a little as at least no one would see her and Andy until the morning. Silently he led her back to the bunk hall, stopping towards the end he reached down and pulled a black t-shirt out of a small cabinet and handed it back to her with a smile.
“You can change out here while I’m in the bathroom. This is my bunk if you want to climb in and get comfy.” He smiled softly, trying to keep her reassured and comfortable.
Odessa nodded and watched his retreating frame disappear behind a door. Quickly she slipped her shorts off, thankful that she had chosen the boy short underwear out of her drawer this morning. She laughed quietly as she realized…she was wearing her Batman boy shorts and bra. She pulled the tank top up and over her head, deciding to leave on her bra for the night and quickly she pulled on the t-shirt Andy had given her, shaking her head slightly as she looked down and saw his face gleaming back up at her. What a ham.She stepped up, pulling his black comforter and sheets back as she climbed into the bunk and slid all the way over, her back facing the wall as she propped herself up on one elbow.
Odessa heard footsteps walking back down the hall and suddenly Andy was in front of her, shirtless and in only a pair of black basketball shorts. Remain calm. She told herself this as he smiled down at her and climbed in, his hair rubbing against the ceiling of the bunk before laying his head down on the pillow next to her.
“My face looks good on you…” He smirked at her before yawning and reaching up to shut off the small overhead light.
“Good night Andy…don’t let the bed bugs bite.” She only grinned down at him before doing something that took both of them by surprise.
Quietly and just as the light went out Odessa leaned down and placed her lips softly against his and just as soon as it had begun it ended. He sighed, and turned over to drape an arm over her stomach, feeling the rise and fall of her chest as they both drifted off to sleep.
The next morning began brightly and at first Odessa was unsure of where she was. Her head seemed to be moving up and down to the rhythm of breathing and as she peeked one eye open everything came flooding back to her. Andy laid there, his arms wrapped around her, his hands resting on the small of her back as he smiled sweetly in his sleep. She stared at him then, finally noticing just how young he looked, just how innocent he could be especially when his mouth wasn’t open. She smiled softly, her chin coming to rest on his chest, her forehead nudging up against his chin.
“Andy…” She called softly, noticing his eyebrows furrowing at the interruption of his sleep.
“Chris Nolan is here to see you Mr. Biersack…” She said more loudly this time and laughed as his eyes grew wide and he peeked one eye open and stared at her.
“You are so mean…” He grumbled his deep voice thick with sleep as he wrapped his arms around her more tightly.
“You love it…” She laughed as she moved to lean up against the far wall of his bunk, ducking her head out of the way as he stretched his arms out.
“What time is it?” He asked, sitting up slightly and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“Almost noon. I have something I wanted to show you today…” She smiled at him as he looked up at her and wondered how she could be so chipper and adorable after just waking up.
“If it’s the fact that you have on Batman underwear I saw that at about 9 this morning when I got up to pee and your ass was uncovered and in the air.” He laughed as he lifted the blanket up to get another peek at her under garment.
“Andy!” She shoved him lightly and motioned for him to get out of the bunk so she could follow.
They moved about quietly, the rest of the bus was silent except for a soft noise coming from the front where the kitchen and lounge were located. Quickly she slipped on her shorts, but Odessa decided to keep the shirt on, but she did tie it in a knot in the back to make it fit better and a bit of her white stomach showed at the very bottom. Andy had left her to go change quickly in the bathroom and she slowly made her way up to the front of the bus. Passing one of the bunks she noticed a girl’s high heel hanging off of a drawer knob and realized that the leg poking out of the bunk was attached to a foot with painted toenails.
Finally making it to the front of the bus, Odessa noticed that she and Andy weren’t the only two up. Jinxx and Jake were both sitting in the front. Jinxx had a cup of coffee and a newspaper in front him and Jake was sitting on the couch watching Scooby Doo reruns. They looked, well, odd without all of their makeup and Odessa laughed as she walked forward and joined Jinxx at the kitchen table. He gazed up at her, his eyes widening as he took in her sudden appearance.
“We were wondering where the two of you had run off to last night.” He smiled easily at her, his eyes glancing down to her shirt and then they focused back on the paper he was reading.
“Andy didn’t want me driving home so late last night and besides he and I were going to roam around today…” She smiled over at him and then turned her attention to the tv.
Suddenly Andy appeared in front of her, his lanky frame blocking her view of the tv as he held out his hands to help her up from the table. Jinxx looked up at the both of them, a small smile playing on his lips as he set down his paper and folded his hands. Odessa looked up at Andy, noticing his hair was not as teased today, his bangs still hung over one eye and he was dressed casually in tight black jeans that had holes in both knees and his skinny torso was framed in a white v-neck shirt and he had a rosary hanging down his neck. His feet were clad once again in black cowboy boots which made his feet seem even more huge than they already were.
“We’re leaving tonight around seven, think you can have him back by then.” Jinxx said this in his mostly fatherly tone and Andy and Odessa couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“Yes dad. We’ll see you later.” She smirked at Jinxx and grabbed Andy’s hand to drag him off of the bus and off towards where her lone car sat in the lot where she had left it the day before.
The sun glinted off of the hood as Odessa pressed the unlock button on her keys and opened the door slowly. Hot air burst out and smacked her in the face as Andy laughed quietly from the opposite side of the car. Silently they both got in and as she started the car Odessa remembered that Moira had left her iPod docked in the car. She was probably dying right now without it. Andy’s voice rang out from the speakers, a slow song coming on as she pulled out of the lot. Odessa found herself singing along and realized that she actually knew this song, but had never realized that it was a BVB song.
Those times in life we learn to try, with one intention
Of learning how and when we'll die, but we can't listen

Of looking back and knowing why, or pain of circumstance
“I thought you only knew one of our songs…” Andy smiled over at her, his lip ring shining brightly as they hit the highway and headed West.
“I didn’t realize this song was one of yours. I listened to it a lot after my dad passed away. It’s beautiful…”She smiled over at him, watching the trees as they passed them by as they headed farther away from civilization.
“Thanks. You’re not, uh, taking me out this way to murder me are you?” He said, laughing but there remained a hint of fear in his voice.
“Nope, just taking you to my house. I have a surprise to show you…” She smirked, her lips cracking into a devilish grin as she saw Andy gulp and place his focus on the road ahead of them.
“Does it involve nudity?” He asked slyly as she blushed and shook her head, reaching over Odessa quickly switched out Moira’s iPod for her own. Soon the cool tones of Bert came gasping through the speakers.

Odessa sang softly, her voice blending in perfectly with the melody and Andy couldn’t help but smile over at her. She seemed so innocent, taking joy in such little things like listening to a beloved song while driving home. Odessa always seemed so at ease and always seemed to be able to adapt to any situation good or bad. Plus she loved Batman, which Andy found sexy as hell as most girls only loved Christian Bale and didn’t even know that he wasn’t the original Batman. His eyes glazed over as he stared at her and Andy could feel deep inside his bones…he was falling hard for her.

Aww well I'm glad you liked it so much and that I was your first. Some times I reread this story because, honestly, it's my favorite out of the ones I've written.
