Love By Mistake

Merry Christmas Motherfucker

Over the next month Andy and Dess barely went ten minutes without texting or talking to one another and it was definitely driving his bandmates crazy. Black Veil Brides was finally done touring for the moment and their EP Rebels had just come out earlier that month and they weren’t due to tour again until the early spring. Now they were working on concepts for their next video, Coffin, which was coming off of the EP and they were still quietly working on a new album. Andy missed Odessa like crazy, but the close contact they kept was definitely a huge comfort.Andy laughed as he laid in his bunk, reading a text that he had just gotten from Odessa.

Dess<3: Have you looked online lately? The fangirls on tumblr are freaking out about your haircut…
Andy: No. What’s the verdict? ; )
Dess<3: Jury’s still out, but most seem to like it…I’ve been reading the words ‘sexy’, ‘hot’ and ‘mothering fucking god’ for the past hour *smirks*
Andy: Damn straight. How’s the Christmas shopping coming along?
Dess<3: I’m all finished : ) How about you?
Andy: Not even close ; )

Andy smiled as he reread over that conversation several times, feeling a sense of happiness settle in his bones as he thought of Odessa. Running a hand through his hair, he was still getting used to the shortness of it, Andy decided he was finally going to figure out what to get Dess. He had already gotten Moira’s present and had mailed it out to their house but he found himself stuck every time he thought of Odessa.
Suddenly an idea popped in to his head and Andy picked up his phone and dialed a number, listening to it ring for a few minutes before someone answered.

“Hello Tommy? It’s Andy. Biersack. Yeah hey I was wondering if I could stop by the shop later today. Yeah I want to get my girl something really special and you were my first call. Yeah? Awesome I’ll see you soon.” He hung up the phone and as Andy reached for his leather jacket a smirk played on his lips.

As Andy walked off the bus he called over his shoulder to his bandmates that he would be back before their show tonight and he looked down at the pavement as he walked. Tonight was their last show before the holidays and they were all grateful that it was in LA so that none of them had to worry about traveling during the holidays. Well Andy would be going out to see his parents, but he also smiled at the idea that he had in store for Odessa. He looked over, seeing a couple standing on the corner embracing as they looked into a store window. Andy felt his heart ache for Odessa deeply.

They had been speaking a lot about the future lately and he was happy to hear that she wanted to try and move out to LA. She claimed it was for work, some promotion she was up for, but Andy knew…she wanted to move out here to see him and be together.
After a fifteen minute walk and his hands feeling like they were going to fall off from the chill, Andy reached his destination. He pushed open the glass door, seeing Tommy standing behind the counter Andy walked over to him, his hand extended as they shook hands firmly.

Tommy led him towards the back to get down to business. His choices were limitless and Andy felt slightly overwhelmed as he looked everything over. Finally he looked up at Tommy and spoke.

“I want this to be something that she can wear everyday if she wants to. This stuff is great, but it’s so fancy I’m afraid it won’t be her style. Is there anything else you have?” He bit down on his lip ring as Tommy held up a finger and walked off, returning shortly with a velvet lined box that he placed in front of Andy. Peering inside the box Andy knew it was perfect and he looked over at Tommy, his eyes serious.

“This is it man. I’ll take it.” Andy forked over his credit card and looked out towards the windows.

The couple had moved over to peer into one of the display windows of the shop he was in and Andy stared at them closely. The guy was probably no older than twenty-five and the girl he was with looked to be around the same age. He had his arms wrapped around her from behind as she held her hands up to the glass window to get a better look. They both were smiling and Andy felt his heart melt as the guy reached down, planting a kiss softly on the side of his girlfriend’s head, her eyes closing softly in contentment.

He wondered if that’s how Odessa looked when he kissed her…like everything in that moment was right in the world and nothing else mattered.
Andy made a silent vow to himself as he walked back to the bus, his package under his arm and as he puffed on his cigarette a smile crept to his face. It was almost the end of the year and so with a happy heart he knew that soon Odessa would have to give him her answer.

He was almost too scared to find out what exactly her answer would be.

“Andrew!” Andy smiled as he felt his mother’s arms wrap around his neck and he shivered as he looked behind him, taking in the snowy vision that was his parent’s front yard.

“Merry Christmas mom!” He laughed as he reached down and hugged her, happy to be back in Ohio to see the rest of his family.

“Here give me your jacket. You must be freezing after being in LA all year in the heat. Did you forget what snow looked like?” She laughed as he handed over his jacket and looked around.

“I didn’t forget. Where’s dad?” He didn’t see his father anywhere, which was weird since it was Christmas Eve and usually his father was home, sitting in front of the television watching A Christmas Story.

“He had to go out to get some last minute things. Come sit! Tell me all about your touring.” His mother ushered him over to their ancient kitchen table and he sat down, watching her fuss over him he smiled…happy to be home.

“It was great. Things definitely got crazy.” He smiled as his mother set down a hot cup of cocoa in front of him and then took a seat across the table.

“And this girl I keep hearing so much about? How are things going with that?” He smiled at the thought of Odessa and quickly pulled out his phone. He brought up his favorite picture of them, which of course was the one Sammi took of them at the party, and handed his phone over to his mother so she could see better.

“Oh Andy…she looks wonderful and you two look so good together. When are you seeing her?” His mother asked as she handed his phone back to him.

“Soon…” Andy smiled then, hearing the front door open and seeing his father walk in with several grocery bags in his arms.

The Biersack Family had a wonderful Christmas Eve and the next day Andy awoke to butterflies in his stomach as he rose and went downstairs to be with his family. He had texted Odessa the night before, apologizing for taking so long to get back to her but he figured she was busy just as he was. As they were all sitting around the tree Andy felt his pocket vibrate. He excused himself and pulled out his phone seeing that Odessa was calling he entered the kitchen, a smile playing on his lips.

“Hey babe! Merry Christmas!” He heard her laugh into the phone as he looked out the window at his parent’s backyard which was covered in a thick layer of snow.

“Merry Christmas Andy!” Her voice still seemed thick from sleep and Andy felt his heart tighten at the thought that he was the first thing she thought of when she woke up in the morning.

“How’s everyone?” He asked her as he peered into the oven and smiled as a delicious scent filled the air.

“Moira says to tell you thanks for her signed CD and giftcard to your merch store. Mom says hello by the way. Oh and thank you for my new sketch book…I really love it Andy.” He could just picture her in that moment, clad in a pair of pjs , her hair a mess as she smiled deeply.

“Tell them I said no problem. I’m glad you called.” He ran a hand through his hair, nervous that he wouldn’t be able to keep things in any longer.

“Of course I would call you on Christmas Day! Look I have to go before Moira starts strangling me to open presents. I’ll call you later tonight…” She hung up before he could say goodbye and Andy laughed as he pictured the very image of Moira having her hands wrapped around Dess’s throat.

The day went by quickly as Andy watched his family come over and open presents. He spent some time with his Grandfather, laughing as he was told stories about the older man’s youth. Finally the sun had set and Andy felt himself turn in to a ball of energy. Tomorrow things were going to be set in motion and he absolutely could not wait.
