Andy and Odessa tumbled in to a routine for the next fews days and he found it to be really comforting. Usually she was up before him and would make something for either breakfast or lunch, depending on when she had to be on set and when he decided to crawl out of the bed that they were still sharing. He would go to the studio while she was on set and at the end of the day they would meet back at his apartment.

She would tell him about all of the crazy things that happened on set while she made dinner and then later he would play her tracks off of the EP that they were currently working on. Usually the night would end with them on the couch watching a movie until Odessa would fall asleep and Andy would take her back to bed. It was comfy and predictable and Andy would miss it when she left.


Before either of them knew it the week was over and it was time for Odessa to fly back to Virginia and Andy and the rest of Black Veil Brides had to start preparing for their UK Tour. She had, however, made plans with her boss to take some time off before Halloween so she could fly back out for the huge Halloween bash that Jinxx could not stop talking about. She had hoped for a week but because it was the busy season right before Christmas, Odessa was sadly only able to take two days off.


“Do you have everything?” Andy asked as he watched Odessa place her last bag by the door and look up at him sadly as she nodded.

“I’m leaving some stuff if that’s okay? I figured I’ll be back at the end of October and you won’t be here anyways so it won’t be in the way…” She was sad and that made him sad, but Andy tried to hold it together, not for himself but for Dess.

“It’s fine. We should head out…” He reached down and grabbed one of her bags as she picked up the other and silently they walked hand in hand towards the elevator.


Andy placed her bags in the back of his SUV and joined Odessa upfront and his heart sank as he saw tears rolling down her cheeks. Before starting the car he reached over, grabbing her with his lanky arms and hugging her tightly. He kissed her temple and looked her deep in the eyes, trying to show her that it would be okay. It wouldn’t be okay and he would probably cry as he said a final goodbye to her at the airport, but they still had some time together and he didn’t want to spend it crying.


“Dess it’ll be okay. The next month and a half is going to go by so fast before you know it you’ll be back here.” He looked over at her, laughing softly at her pink cheeks and her red tipped nose.

“I know I’m being a baby, but I’m just going to miss everyone. Especially you…and Jinxx.” She laughed the last part and Andy smiled and was glad that her and Jinxx got on so well. It gave him someone to talk to when he missed Odessa and Jinxx was great to talk to about stuff anyways.

“Let’s just be happy on the ride over, k? I think I might cut my hair by the way…it’s getting really hard to take care of and I want a change.” He smiled over at her as his SUV got on to the highway and they could see planes taking off in the distance.

“Are you going to cut it really short or just trim it up so that it will start growing normally again?” She asked him as she reached over and changed the radio station.

“I don’t know yet. I may just trim it up…I’m not sure how I would look with short hair.” He smiled over at her and laughed as he saw that she was gazing out the window, singing to herself quietly.

“I think it would be really awesome looking if it was shorter, but still maybe kind of long in the front and on one side.” She smirked over at him and ran a hand through his tangled hair and laughed as her fingers got stuck.


The rest of the ride was silent and before either of them knew it Andy was parking the car in an underground garage and it was time to go. Odessa held back tears as he helped her with her bags and they waited in line to check them and to get her return ticket home. Finally it was time to say goodbye before Odessa went through security to head off to her gate. She looked up at Andy, who had taken her small hands in his, and her eyes spilled over with tears at the sight of him. His eyes were red and his lip was quivering slightly as tears silently rolled down his cheeks.


“We are such babies…” She laughed, her smile watery as she moved in to wrap her arms around his neck, laying her head against his chest.

“I’m going to miss you so much Dess…it’s going to be really lonely at night without you there…”He mumbled the last bit into her hair as he had moved to kiss the top of her head.

“I left a few shirts in the guestroom…you can always cuddle with those on the road.” She laughed at him as he removed his lips from the top of her head and looked down at her.

“I just want it to be October. I don’t want to even tour at this point…”He was sad and she knew that, but Odessa was hoping this time a part would stem the attachment that they both felt towards one another.

“Tour. Be great and make your fans happy. We’ll talk to eachother when we can.” She looked up at him, new tears coming to her eyes as she knew it was time for her to go.


Andy clutched on to her, his fingers digging into her jacket as he held her tightly to his chest. Odessa ran trails down his back with her fingers and she could smell his cologne and a slight hint of cigarette smoke that was truly his scent. Her tears stained his t-shirt as she nestled her head against his chest and she could hear his heartbeat pounding in her ears. Slowly she lifted her head up to look at him and smiled at him softly, her green eyes wet and red as she gazed into his equally miserable looking baby blues.


“I have to go Andy…” She tilted her face up to his, placing a soft kiss on his chin as that’s as far as she could reach without him leaning down.

“I know…” He smiled down at her and leaned his head down to place a soft kiss on her lips. She smiled into the kiss as their tears mingled and Odessa felt her heart breaking as she felt his hands cup the sides of her face, his fingers rubbing gently over her cheekbones.

“You are my best friend Andrew Biersack…don’t you ever forget that.” She said this softly as she pulled out of the kiss and placed her own hand on the side of his face, her fingers brushing against his hair.

“I know and you’re my best friend Odessa Montgomery…but that doesn’t mean I’m giving up on us.” He kissed the top of her forehead and then let her go and it killed him to have to move his hands away from her body.

“Don’t ever give up on us Andy…ever.” She smiled at him as she waved, walking backwards towards security and watched as he smiled and waved back.


She truly did hope that Andy wouldn’t give up and as Odessa made her way through security and finally walked up to her gate she really wished that they could try things out now. She felt this horrible pit in her stomach form as she sat there and she cried quietly to herself at the thought that she could have ruined everything with Andy. Silently she boarded the plane, sending one last text to him before having to shut her phone off for the long plane ride home.


Dess: Please don’t let this ruin anything for you while you’re on tour. I’ll miss you terribly, but we can talk whenever…even if I have to stay up to hear from you. Don’t be such a baby Biersack…

She laughed as she added the last part and then turned to shut her phone off. The stewardess came by and offered her some water and a small packet of tissues, which Odessa took gratefully before turning on her iPod. She tried to listen to Black Veil Brides, but the sound of Andy’s deep gravelly voice made her miss him more so she settled on the Used and took out her sketch pad to try and distract herself. There was no nap this time around and after six hours Odessa was happy to see the plane land in Virginia, the trees had finally started turning golden and she was reminded how much she loved her home in the fall.
