I had flour in my hair and egg dripping down my face when I opened the door, I must have looked an absolute mess judging by Kellin's face. "I want to ask, but something tells me I don't want to know..." He said finally raising one eyebrow at me as I turned to lead him back through the house into the kitchen. He stopped behind me to admire the decor as I had done last night, running his fingertips along the hardwood dresser, with photos and books placed flawlessly of Andy's family, I had noticed there were none of him, but I didn't want to ask why.
"Oh, we tried to make waffles... We don't know how to make waffles so he cracked an egg on my head... He doesn't even have a waffle pan," we walked into the kitchen where Andy was with his back to us, "so really he's stupid and should think about his suggestions before we start!" I extended my leg and tapped his ass with my foot. I grabbed a cloth from the island breakfast bar and took a seat opposite Andy motioning for Kellin to come and sit next to me. He sat down and looked between Andy and I. Andy looked even more of a mess than I did. His hair had gone from black to grey, from the amount of flour that had been dumped onto his head, and he had a jam hand print on his face. Kellin at this point had almost fallen off his chair with laughter, not that I blame him.
Once Kellin had composed himself, the egg in my hair had started to dry and suddenly I felt itchy and uncomfortable with how dirty I was, Andy had shown me where the shower was earlier this morning so after telling them where I was going, I left the kitchen and grabbed my clothes off the chair Kellin had left them on. Kellin had even left me a pair of his pants, so I would have atleast some form of clean underwear. After taking a shower, I put the same clothes from the day before on. I felt a lot better after that, it's amazing how refreshing a shower can be. I padded down the stairs, leaving my hair to air dry as I walked into the living room to find Kellin and Andy playing video games. As soon as Andy saw me, he paused the game and pulled me down next to him, connected another controller and handed it to me. "Playing a racing game princess, ready to get your ass handed to you?" He teased as he showed me what buttons to press. The game was actually really fun, I exaggerated my movements a lot more than either guy did, but I felt like when I turned right on the game, I had to actually move my controller right in real life too. Safe to say my 'mirrored movement' didn't help and I lost... By a lot. The happiness coursing through my veins right now as I sat here and played video games with my two favourite people in the world, drowned out the memories of last night for a while but I knew I'd have to face up to them eventually. It was certain what I was going to do today.
Kellin told Andy about mine and Kellin's Sunday tradition to go round to his and watch a movie we'd never seen before, sometimes it helped us to discover new favourite movies, others it was two hours of my life I'd never get back. He invited Andy to come, but he said no saying he had music to work on. As I was about to leave, he pulled me in and held me close by my hips, making small circles with his thumbs. "Come back and see me later?"
I nodded and kissed him gently, he chuckled and pulled away, "Just can't get enough of me?" I tapped him playfully and ran down the drive to my truck, started the ignition and pulled out. I started on the route to my house, confusing Kellin. "Uhm, Scar? What are you doing?" I didn't say anything as we pulled into my road. It was now or never. I got out of the car and slammed the door before poking my head back through the open window on my side. "Stay here, if I'm not out in 15 minutes, save me."
I walked up to the house, took a deep breath in and jiggled the door knob like I had done so many times before and sneaked past my mom who was passed out on the couch. I closed the door quietly and pulled a large duffel bag from out of under my bed. I quietly put all my clothes, underwear, makeup and hats into the bag. I then put my toiletries and some books and my cuddly toys in, folded up my posters and put them in aswell, then zipped up the bag and carried it out of my room and put it by the door.
I then grabbed every bottle of whiskey, opened or not and poured it down the sink. I left a note on the coffee table infront of her so she would see it when she woke up.
'Mom, I'm going to live with Kellin, if you try and stop me, I'll show someone my bruises, I'm moving on. Oh yeah, one more thing... FUCK YOU. Scarlette Rose." I ran out of the house and placed my bag on the floor between Kellin and I.
"You did it?" I smiled and nodded to myself, I was finally free and couldn't wait to tell Andy.
The afternoon passed by quickly, watching 'Life As We Know It' and as soon as it finished I went round to Andy's to tell him my good news. All the way there I was picturing the look on his face, how happy he would be. I rang the doorbell, but when Andy opened the door, be didn't look happy to see me, infact he looked mad.
"I trusted you, and I don't trust anyone, ever, and then you go and do this, really? He spat his words at me, sounding like he was choking back tears. I had no idea what he was talking about.
"Andy--" I began, but he cut me off.
"Just fuck off Scarlette!" I heard as he slammed the door in my face... What have I done?
