New Year's Day (AU Andley and Mafia Content)
Chapter 3
Same Day, 6 months ago 10:14 pm.
Andy opened the door for Ashley and he entered in the car. It had been so long since he last was in a car. Inside was so warm, differently from the place he used to sleep every night. The seats were so comfortable and everything was so clean. He felt like a piece of garbage in all of this luxury. Just when he entered in, he noticed that they weren’t alone. In the car were two other people facing them and one other person driving the car.
Soon, Andy entered in the car too and sat close to Ashley. The two boys kept looking at him and this made him feel pity for himself. He put down his head in shame, staring at his lap. I mean, what was a piece of garbage like him doing in a place like that, with people like them? What if they raped, killed him and then threw him away like an old rag doll. A million thoughts were running through his head when suddenly a voice interrupted him and his wild imagination.
“Ashley, are you ok?” Ashley raised his head to face Andy.
“H-how do y-you know my name?” Ashley asked in confusion.
“I know more than you think I do.” The cold blue eyes met the sweet brown ones. Those eyes were hiding a secret from him, but what? Ashley was snapped once again from his imagination to answer the question the man made.
“Y-Yes, I-m fine.”
“I want to introduce you to the team. This is Jake.” Said Andy pointing his finger towards the man wearing all black.
“Hey there!” the man greeted warmly.
“This one is Jinxx.”
“Hey!” The man with a look like ‘Joker’ from Batman said.
“And the one driving the car is CC.”
“Hello!” The man driving the car said with a big smile on his face.
“And as you guys know, this is Ashley.” Ashley smiled a little, feeling a little bit unsure of what to do. Little did he know that his face looked like he just saw a ghost, which referring to the people he was facing weren’t so different.
“Calm down man, we don’t bite” Said Jinxx laughing a little, which cause Jake, Andy and CC laugh too.
“So, back to the business. How does a paycheck of 10,000 dollars sounds?” Jake asked with a smirk on his face. Ashley looked at him like he just lost his mind.
“I thought I made it clear when I said I’m not fucking anyone for money.” Ashley said harshly and Jake kept smirking.
“ Nah, we got another job for you. You just have to take some suitcases to some people. Sure, the team will be with you so you will not be in danger. How do you think?” Andy said looking at him serious.
“Are you saying to me that I will risk my years of freedom for 10,000 dollars and selling your drugs?” Sure 10,000 dollars were a lot but still…. wasn’t worth it.
“You got it wrong Ashley, 10,000 dollars is just the paycheck, you take 4,000 for each transport you make. You start like this, then you start taking bigger missions. It’s not all about the drugs. I never said there were only drugs. Our system is like a chain, we are the top and people need us. We give them what they want and then they pay us high prices. When someone disobeys…. Well it’s not a nice thing to tell you. So, what do you think? Don’t forget that you will be protected in each step you make.” Finished Andy looking Ashley in the eyes.
“I’m really surprised by what you are saying to me, but first I need to know something… Why me?”
“As I said before, our system is well prepared but we need more manpower, someone who we can trust. Someone like you.” Said Andy finishing his sentence while the car stopped right before his ‘house’.
