Finally There
When we were heading back to the car, CC insisted on driving. "Fine, but if you crash this car I'm breaking your neck." I said in a serious tone. He laughed but stopped when he realized I was being serious. "Well then, someone loves their car." He said. I laughed. "Well, it's my dad's, and he treated it like his fucking child. I think he spoiled it more than me." It was true, this car meant a lot to my dad. I made sure to treat it like my dad did, just so he could rest easy.
"Do you know why it meant so much to your dad?" CC asked. I shrugged. "His brother died a couple years before I was born. They used to take annual road trips in it across the country. It was the only he had left of his brother." I explained. CC nodded and started the car.
As we drove, I grew more and more uncomfortable. Yeah, leather shorts? Not the best idea on a long car ride. Me and CC talked more about my song-writing, how I was excited to be on the new album, and of course my own band. "I'm just nervous they won't like me, or will reject me." I confessed. He sighed. "Naomi, I honestly can't see anyone rejecting you. I still don't understand how you think you aren't good. Your fucking amazing. I know they'll love you, you'll see." He said. I smiled.
"Thanks, CC. It means a lot to me." He smiled. "That's my job as your favorite." He said winking. I laughed and continued the struggle of trying get comfortable in leather shorts. CC kept making fun of me. "Why would you wear leather shorts in the first place?" "Because they make my ass look great, focus on the road." I shot back. He put his hands up in defeat and kept driving.
My phone buzzed, and I saw I had gotten a text from an unknown number. "Great, he's texting me now." I said, showing CC my phone. He laughed "That's Lauren's number. Probably just wants to get to know you or something." He said. I calmed down a bit and checked the text.
Lauren: Hey, It's Lauren (CC's girlfriend) I got your number from Jake. I wanted to let you and CC know that tonight we're taking the guys out to dinner and you are more than welcome to come!
Me: Hi Lauren, and I would love too! thanks for inviting me :)
Lauren: You're welcome sweetie! Tell CC I can't wait to see him!
Me: I will!
Lauren: Oh and also, do you want me and the girls to pick out an outfit for you so you don't have to unpack yet?
Me: That would be great! Thanks again.
Lauren: No problem! We can't wait to meet you!
Me: Can't wait to meet you guys either.
We ended the conversation there and I told CC the plan. He smiled. "Yes, you can get in on our tradition!" He noticed the look of confusion on my face and started to explain. "Basically, whenever we get back from tour or something, we get dressed up really fancy and go eat at places like McDonalds or Burger King." I smiled. "Sounds like my kinda party." I said jokingly. ~~ONE HOUR LATER~~ "Ok, we're here!" CC said excitingly. I cheered and jumped out of the car. I could not wait to get these fucking shorts off of me. I stared at the house (more like fuckin mansion) in front of my. It was beautiful, I couldn't wait to see what the inside looked like. "Like it?" I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around to see Jake. I smiled and nodded. "Just tell me you have a pool?" I said jokingly. He laughed. "Don't worry we do." I went to the back of the car to get my stuff. "You need help with anything?" Jake asked. I shook my head. "It's ok, I got it. Wait, actually, could you bring my guitar inside?" To be honest, I barely trusted myself with my guitar. Why I trusted Jake, no idea. Just then, I heard the front door open and people running. Probably Sammi, Lauren, and Juliet. Sure enough, they ran past my car and practically tackled their boyfriends. I couldn't help but laugh. After they were done saying hi to the guys, they came over to me. "You must be Naomi! I'm Sammi!" I smiled and said hi. I'll be honest, I'm kinda awkward around new people. "Come on, you don't have to be shy! Here, I'll help you with your stuff so you can get ready." Juliet saidas she grabbed one of my bags. Before long, I was in the house, which of course was fucking beautiful on the inside as well. Lauren led me to my room. "Ok, Ashley is too your right, and me and CC are to your left. Your room has a bathroom in it, and you brought sheets right?" Lauren asked. I nodded. "Good, I'll help you setup later. But right now, we need to get ready. Come on, we picked out an outfit for you, hope you like it!" I placed my bags inside my room and followed her to what I believed was Andy and Juliet's room. Layed out on the bed was a beautiful high low dress with a blue bandeau type top and black flowy skirt. There were black heels to match and some golden earrings and necklace. "You guys, this is amazing!" I said. Sammi smiled. "Well, you need to look your best for Jake." I started blushing and the girls laughed. "So you know?" I said. Juliet nodded. "The guys told us everything. And sweetie, I'm sorry about..." she said trailing off. I smiled and hugged her. "Thanks." Soon we were all joined in a group hug. Damn, I was getting lots of group hugs lately. I changed into the dress and while I was doing my makeup, Lauren plugged in a curling wand. "I'm curling your hair, ok?" She said, and I nodded. Juliet and Sammi joined us and we started talking about my music. Stuff like song writing, how I got into it, stuff like that. "So we heard your an amazing singer, mind singing for us?" Sammi asked. I blushed. "Ok, anything you want to hear?" I asked. "Sing whatever you want!" Lauren said as she started to curl my hair. Sighing, I started sing the chorus of "Savior" when I finished, I got the usual 'oh-my-god-she-sings-like-an-angel' reaction, causing me to blush. "Wow, your amazing! No wonder Jake talked to you!" Juliet said jokingly. I laughed. "Hey guys, what was Tess like? I mean, I know it's none of my business, but I'm still curious." They exchanged looks. "To be honest, I'm happy they broke up. She treated Jake like shit and was a total bitch. Don't worry, we like you way more than we liked her." Sammi said. I nodded, getting a couple angry sighs from Lauren. "Hold still!"
