A Beach in San Diego
Roses
Today was the day I was going to the shop to talk to Elise about moving to L.A. with the guys and as a goodbye gift, I was going to let her do a tattoo for me that I've wanted for a long time. A rose on my left shoulder.
But I know he won't make a move for a while. His girlfriend fucking cheated on him! He's not gonna trust anyone for a while. I've been cheated on before, so I know it sucks. But still, I wish it would go faster.
~~10 Minutes Later~~
"Ready to get started?" Elise asked. I nodded. She started outlining the rose and began asking questions.
"So how'd you meet them?"
"Jake was walking along the beach and heard me singing. He told me his girlfriend cheated, so I offered him a place to stay for the night."
"And I assume nothing went down?"
"Well....."
"Naomi, what happened?"
"I told him about my nightmares and he offered to stay with me. So he held me all night and calmed me down when I woke up screaming."
"Holy shit that's adorable. I can see how you fell for him so quickly."
"Shut up." I said smiling. Then I continued.
"I told the guys everything." She paused, then continued.
"That's good babe! No secrets are essential in relationships." She replied with a wink.
"Especially since I'm moving to L.A. with them." I said. Oh god here we go. She put down the machine, looked at me, then laughed and hugged me. Wow, she wasn't trying to kill me.
"Your not mad?" She looked at me and smiled. "You need a change of scenery. Plus, with your brother, I think it would be best." She said. I nodded, but felt a tear fall down my face. I looked at Elise and she was crying too. "Don't think for a second I won't miss you like hell." I said hugging her. Elise took me in when I first moved to San Diego. She was the closest thing I had to a friend, and over the years we grew closer. We wiped our tears. "Are we finishing this tattoo or what?" she said, resuming.
~~2 Hours Later~~
"I swear to god that part changes every time!" "Even so, it's really not that scary." "Shut up!" Elise smiled and wiped the extra ink off my shoulder. "You're done babe. Come and see." She said, walking towards the mirror we had against the wall in the shop. I was amazed. "Babe it's amazing!" I said hugging Elise. That's when the guys walked in.
Jake's POV
We walked into the tattoo place and saw Naomi hugging a woman roughly one year older than her. She turned, saw us, and smiled. She walked over, dragging the girl behind her. "Guys, this is Elise, the girl who was yelling at me over the phone the other day." She said. She started blushing and hit Naomi. We all laughed. "Nice to meet you Elise." Andy said. "Nice to finally meet the guys who helped save Naomi's life. By the way, thank you for that. And take care of her in L.A., or I will come and beat your asses." She said with a serious tone. I chuckled "Don't worry, we will."
She nodded and turned to Naomi. "Well, you gonna show them or what?" We all looked at Naomi. She smiled and turned. On the back of her shoulder was a fresh tattoo of a beautiful rose, outlined with green and hints of purple. We all gasped. "Naomi that's amazing!" Ashley said. "Thanks, I've wanted it for a while." "Does it symbolize anything?" Jinxx asked. She turned and laughed.
"Nope, I just got it because I felt like it. Yes, it symbolizes something!" She said laughing. "To me, the rose is like me. Even though they have thorns, they are still thought to be beautiful. They are different, but are beautiful just the same. To me, the thorns are like my scars, they' can be flaws, but some people look past them and really appreciate their beauty." She said. "Well, she is beautiful." I thought. "Dude, that's deep." CC said. We all burst out laughing. "So, what about that dinner we planned on?" I said. "Is food all you think about?" Andy said smirking. "Jake's right, we should probably get going." Naomi said, and turned to Elise and hugged her goodbye. "I'll miss you like hell. Stay strong for me, babe." Elise said. I think Naomi started crying, but she wiped away the tears before turning to us.
Before we left, Elise pulled me aside. "You like Naomi, I can tell. But I know what you've been through, so take your time. But just know Naomi's been through hell, and if you break her heart you will wake up missing internal organs." I laughed and looked over at Naomi and back to Elise. "I plan on taking my time, and don't worry, if I get her I'm not letting her go." I said smiling. She nodded and we walked back over to the guys. "Oh wait! Naomi I forgot to get you something!" Elise said running to the back. When she returned, she was carrying a bright teal electric guitar. Naomi covered her mouth and gasped. "Elise.." "No, I don't want to hear anything about it. You're taking this." They hugged again, this time I knew Naomi was crying.
Finally, we left, dropping off Naomi's guitar of at her apartment first, then headed to a little taco shop not far from the beach.
Yesterday was a good day. Me and the guys decided to go to the beach (take a wild guess who's idea it was) I was kinda sad at first, being it was going to be the last time I went to the beach in San Diego. But of course I had fun anyways. CC threw me in the water, me and Andy chased after seagulls just to annoy the guys, and me and Jake showed the guys where we met. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure how we both remembered, we just did. Ashley kept staring at me since I was wearing a bikini. Luckily Jinxx was there to slap him for me. But I could've sworn I saw Jake looking at me out of the corner of my eye a couple times. We stayed until sunset, then made plans to go to dinner after I met with Elise.
