Andy had asked me to sleep at Esther's house for the next few nights. I had no problem with that, I didn't want to live with someone who was pissed at everything I did. I understood that he needed to calm down with after everything that has been happeneing. Sleeping at Esther's house hurt though. The whole place smelled like her and I saw her everywhere in that house. I had finally caved into the memories and asked Coma if I could sleep at his place for a while. He agreed, his house was just like all the others. But he had his own shower just like Andy's.

"I want to indroduce you someone." Coma said walking into the auditorium.

We had not actually put together an army together, for now we were just planning on how we were actually going to do that. I turned to see Coma with another guy standing right beside him. The man extended his hand, I took it without hesitation. I had seen him around before. He was usually with Coma and Jake. He was tall, probably taller than Andy, and had short messy brown hair. He stared me down with dark green eyes.

"This is Alex, he will be helping with army details and training." Coma said.

"Nice to meet you..." Alex said.

"Oh, Catherine, nice to meet you, Alex." I said releasing the grip on his hand.

"So who do you have fighting?" Alex asked.

"I want everyone who is able." I said. He shot Coma a look with which Coma shrugged to.

"Okay, first of all, how the hell are you going to control that many people? Secondly, no one here knows how to fight. All they can do is swing a iron skillet." He had a point.

"I'm guessing that's why Coma brought you, isn't it?" I looked toward Coma.

"That's besid the point..." he started.

"No, no it's not. I want an army and you're going to make it for me." I smiled.

"Fiesty, fine but you will not be excluded from the training and it won't be easy." Alex informed.

"I don't care, I'll take whatever you throw at me." I said standing up straighter.

"What did F.E.A.R. do to you?" He asked.

"He took my family." We both stared each other down, as if waiting for the other to crack and crumble.

"Let's get started." He smiled coming closer to my face so our noses were touching.

Alex told me to start going from door to door asking for any abled people to go to auditorium for an aouncment. I took all of the men from tha ages of 13-45 and all the girls freom the ages of 16-40. Zain had been one of the first men to run to the auditorium. Andy was no where to be seen, I figured he wouldn't be apart of this anyway. By the time I had finished my rounds of all the houses and had gotten back to the auditorium almost the whole building was filled. Alex was standing behind the podium with Coma and motined me to join him. I brushed by Andy not realizing it was him and he stopped me for a minute.

"Think about what you're doing just for a second." He warned.

"I have had a week to think about it. I have made my choice and so have the people." I said breaking his grip and joing Coma and Alex up front.

"You all are the ones who are the best of the best." Alex started out strong. "Your nation needs you today. Today you will be apart of an army that will be talked about for centeries after this. You will be the first to storm F.E.A.R.s gates. You will be trained for battle. Some of you won't make it to the date we ride but others will be stonger than ever ready for the fight of your life." He paused, "if any of you think this challenge to rough then I dare you to walk out now and never look back." I looked over the crowd seeing faces look toward each other waiting for the other to get up. No one stood and that made Alex smile. "Good, now we will start the training in one hour. Get rest or whatver you need to be away from your family for the next few weeks. I challenge you to be the best out of everyone here. I chellenge you to be better than I!" With that he ended the anouncment and let the people get their affairs in order just as if they were never coming back home.

Alex had told Coma to clear the court yard because that was were the training would take place. Coma did what he asked and one hour later the people started to swarm the court yard. Alex had had me place up fighting dummies and swords on the ground. I had also included ropes and very hard sticks. I was in the middle of a conersation with a young girl who was terrified but ready when Andy walked up behind me.

"Can I talk to you?" He whispered in my ear.

I turned to face him, "look before you start telling me off..."

"I don't want to tell you off, I want to tell you I'm sorry and that I want to fight."

"What?" I asked.

"Seeing all of these people ready to do what it takes to take down our leader made me realize that I need to suck it up and fght beside you." He paused to take my hand in his and pull me closer to him.

"My father will never see the mn he wanted me to be, but I can still show you the man I want to be. Then man I need to be for these people."

I jumped into his arms feeling the tears beging to roll again. He let out a gasp before hugging me back. "If we stand together we will be unbroken."

"I couldn't have said it any better." He said kissing my cheek.
