"So, what's your last name?"
"Uh, Kuait,"
"Nice. Wow, in the light.. Jesus,"
"What?"
"You.. agh... wow. You're really gorgeous. Um, yeah. Okay, so sushi," and he orders.
Me.
Gorgeous?
"No, I'm not,"
"Don't argue with me. And, eat. It tastes delicious. We won't leave until you eat," I stand, my chair scraping the floor. "No. Sorry. Stay. Please? And eat? For me?" I throw my hands up in sudden rage. Why? Because the caring in his eyes throws me off and I'm never thrown off. I know what to expect from people. But, not him. And, I sit. Not because I want to eat. I mean, I guess I do a little. It does look good. My stomach screams. I sit because I want to know more about him. I want to find out why he stopped. Why he saved me.
"Okay. Fine. I'll stay. And I might eat," I say slowly.
"Good," a smile lights up his face. "Now, sit. Eat, this isn't all going to eat itself," something resembling a smile slips onto my face. I sit down.
Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
