"What?" I whispered.
"Your Jinxx's sister," Jake said. I put my hand over my mouth because I didn't want him to see the inside of my mouth.
"You can't serious, I mean my last name isn't even the same as his."
"Your last name got changed when your adoption parents took you in. Your real last name is Ferguson."
"Where' Jinxx?"
"I'm here!" Jinxx exclaimed coming into the room. He had tears in his eyes and had he biggest smile on his face. I ran over to him and gave hug a hug, which he hugged back.
"I'm so glad I found you," he whispered into my ear. I started to cry, but they were tears of joy only because I hadn't seen him since I was four, which was 13 years ago.
We stood there hugging for about a minute before we let go.
"What happened, what did I do to leave you guys?" I said wiping the tears away.
"I remember we were at the park and we were playing on the swings together, and, I think you fell, and I was helping you up when this guy, he uh, took you. I ran after you for what felt like miles, and he kept running. I screamed for help and called the police but no one came, until it was to late. I've been looking for you ever since, and now I finally found you sis."
"So someone kidnapped me, when I was four, holy shit. That's a lot to take in," I said leaning back.
"Yeah, hey, would you wanna meet mom and dad tomorrow?" he asked.
"I don't know, by the sounds of it, they didn't mind that I was gone."
"Well, that's only because I hid the fact that you were kidnapped for some time, not only to keep my cover and I thought I would find you, but because I knew it would break their hearts if I had lost you. They would probably kill themselves, and that' sorta what mom did," Jinxx said trailing off.
"What, wait wait, hold up two seconds, my mother, who actually cared about me, committed suicide?"
"Yep, she couldn't take the pain anymore, so she decided to end it all, after four years of searching, when we still couldn't find you, she ended her life," Jinxx said tearing up. I couldn't take seeing my oplder brother cry, so I hugged him and he returned the favor. I couldn't help but cry because that meant that I would never get to meet my mom, never see her beautiful smile, her beautiful hair, her beautiful eyes, her beautiful voice, and her beautiful personality.
"God, this is all my fault! I knew that if I was never born, then everyone's lives would be better! Ugh, why am I suck a fuck up!" I yelled standing up.
"Woah, what are you talking about Oly? You were the sunshine in all of our lives, you made our family whole. Don't tell me you think that you fucked it up."
"Well, you know, if you think about it, I got lost, made my mother commit suicide and made you search for me. I didn't bring in the sun, I brought darkness. God, I knew that this would somehow happen!" I said pacing around the room.
"What would happen?" he Jinxx asked.
"I knew that if I had ever found my family, I would have somehow fucked it up, and I did!"
"No, no, no no, you didn't do anything wrong, if anyone, it was my fault for letting you go in the first place, it was my fault for letting you leave my sight. Don't you dare think that any of this is your fault, because it's not," Jinxx said sternly.
"I'm sorry," I said softly sitting back down.
"Don't be sorry, look, how about I take you to my house and you can meet Sammi and settle down with us. How does that sound?"
"Sounds good," I said smiling. He smiled back and we got up to tell Jake that we we're going to his place, and with that, we were off.
