Seventeen
(DESTINY)
I woke up at eight the next morning with CC's arms around me. Oh how I missed this. He was still asleep, so I gently wriggled out of his arms and crept downstairs. Everyone looked at me as I descended down the stairs.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" I asked.
"No reason. Do you by any chance know where CC is?" Ashley asked. I reached the last step and walked over to them before answering.
"He's asleep.." i said.
"Where?" Andy asked.
"My room." I said.
"Why?" Jake asked
"Okay... there is a story behind why he's in my room, and I'm going to tell you." I said.
"Alright. Go ahead." Jinxx said.
"Okay, so last night I woke up at like four because I couldn't sleep, so I came down here, grabbed my cigarettes, and headed outside. I walked to the oak tree and stayed there for about twenty minutes before coming home. I came inside at about four thirty and I saw CC standing near the stairs, so I walked over to him and he hugged me because I was shivering. That hug ended up as a kiss." I said.
"So.. are you guys back together?" Jinxx asked.
"Yeah. We are." CC said. i didn't even see him come down the stairs. He walked over to me and took my hand.
"Good. I hated seeing you two apart." Jinxx said.
"Can we go get some food now? I'm starving." Andy said. I chuckled and they all stood up.
"You coming babe?" CC asked.
"No. Just get whatever you guys want at the store. I don't care what it is." I said. CC kissed me and they all left. I layed down on the couch and closed my eyes, but didn't fall asleep. I started hearing something, but I couldn't make out what it was. I shrugged it off. A couple minutes later I heard something again.
"Destiny." It whispered in my ear. I jumped and opened my eyes, looking all around me, but didn't see anything. I layed back down and closed my eyes again.
"DESTINY." It whispered into my ear again, but louder. I opened my eyes again and fear coursed through me. I felt the tears in my eyes. I was scared out of my mind.
"I love you." It whispered again. I covered my mouth with my hand and I let the tears fall. I only had one suspicion of who it was.
"Mom?" I asked.
"Yes, dear." She whispered.
"Oh my God!" I said. I started freaking out. I was scared. I didn't like this. not one bit. My phone was sitting next to my cigarettes, so I grabbed it and called CC.
"Hello?"
"CC... I really need you right now. There's time to explain, but I won't. Not over the phone." I said.
"A-are you crying?" He asked.
"Yes! Just.. get home. Please!" I begged.
"Okay. I'll.. uh.. see you in a bit. We're almost done here." CC said.
"Okay. I love you."
"Love you too. Bye."
"Bye." I hung up and started pacing back and forth, still crying. Why would my mother visit me? That's just fucking scary. I was never the type to believe in paranormal activity, but now I do, which scares me. Once I saw my car, I rushed outside and pulled CC into me.
"Babe... what the fuck is wrong?" CC asked.
"I.. I-I" I was at a loss for words. The others looked confused. I wouldn't blame them. CC tried to pull me inside, but I refused.
"No! I'm not going in there, CC!" I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Just.. sit down in the grass and I'll explain what happened while you were gone.." I said. CC sat down and I sat next to him.
"What happened?" CC asked. I explained to him what happened, but he didn't believe me.
"That's ridiculous, Des." He said.
"It fucking happened! Believe me or not, it happened. I'm done talking about this. We've spent three hours talking about it." I said as I stood up. CC did the same and he hugged me before we walked inside.
"I'm starving! What did you guys get!?" I asked.
"Food." They all replied.
"No fucking shit. What kind of food?" I asked.
"Good food." They all replied again. I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and saw sandwich meat, various veggies, and some fruit. I was surprised they didn't buy just candy. I closed the fridge and looked in the pantry. There was cereal, granola bars, trail mix, and chips and crackers. I grabbed a tube of saltine crackers and had some, then put it back. I walked back out into the living room and saw the guys contemplating on whether they should watch Batman or Wolverine.
"Wolverine." I said. I heard a chorus of yesses and a groan from Andy. Ashley put the movie in and I sat next to CC, who instantly put his arm around me. I snuggled into him and ended up falling asleep, which only meant it was almost Monday when I woke up at six pm. I decided to just fall back asleep since I had nothing else to do.
