I'm a Loaded Gun (Part 2)

New Horizons

"Andy...why are we going to Ohio?" I asked, holding the two tickets in my hands.

"Well, once things with the band get back in gear I won't be home very often," he said. "My mom and dad have been begging me to come home for awhile and visit. I doubt I'll have any time when we get back, and I thought you'd like to come meet my parents and maybe see where my childhood was."

I leaned over across the bed, rest my head against his abdomen and wrapping my arms around his back. "I would love to."

"Good," he whispered into my hair with a kiss, "we leave here at nine. I already have a bag all packed for you and all your make up stuff. All you gotta do it get out of bed."

"You are wonderful, ya know?"

"I try." His body leaned backward and I climbed up to my usually place, my head resting on his chest and arms around his torso. "Sleep, now, my darling." The blanket was pulled up over us and we adjusted until we both were comfortable. I closed my eyes, only hearing the faint hum of the ceiling fan and the gentle bum-bum bum- bum- bum bum of his heart beating under my cheek.

At 8:20
I was gently shook awake by Andy, "Wake up, love."

I rolled over and wrapped my arm around him, "Noooo...too comffyyyy."

He chuckled and picked me up, "We have a flight and you have to get ready. We are going to my parents house after we land."

"Finnnee," I whined. He sat me down on the chair in front of the closet while he went to the bathroom. Sluggishly, I stood and pulled out a dress. I wanted to look nice for his parents. I pulled out some black panty hoes that were roses and then some spanks shorts over those so I could be comfortable on the plane. I pulled the royal blue dress over my torso and adjusted the bottom of the skirt that ended a few inches above my knee. I went to the bathroom and used my backup eyeliner and mascara and then brushed through my hair. When I returned to grab my jacket and shoes, Andy came up the stairs, dressed in his typical black skinny jeans with a Blue Montley Crüe t shirt that wasn't cut for once. I pulled on my black flats and went down the the kitchen to make Andy and I some coffee. I glanced around the corner to see Andy carrying a duffle bag and my suitcase with his laptop case over his shoulder.

The door closed and I reached down to pick up Whiskey as she purred in circles around my ankles. Crow meowed and appeared on the other side of the counter, sitting on a bar stool. Whiskeys rhythmic purring tickled as I held her on my shoulder. I knew CC and Jinxx would take good care of our babies. I kissed the top of her ivory colored fluffy head. She let out an appreciative meow. Crow was rubbing against my arm while standing on the counter. "Oh goodness you two," I said as I placed Whiskey on the counter so I could pour and mix the coffee. I put them in our travel mugs and carried them to the living room, flanked by our cats. I lounged on the couch, placing my feet up on the black leather lazy lounger. Both kitties jumped up by me, Crow curled up against my legs, and Whiskey rubbed my torso and head butted me, "making biscuits" as she kneeded her paws on my legs. She settled into a fluffy ball on my lap, resting her face on Crows withers.

Andy walked into the living room, "Hey are you read- aww. Look at you." His face was lit up with a bright smile and he pulled his phone from his pocket, taking a picture. "I hate to break up the cuddlefest- in fact I'd love to join, but we don't want to miss our plane." I reached down and picked up Crow, who was practically limp from sleep. Andy held him up and cuddled with him while I gave Whiskey a little kiss and she purred in reply. I set her down and gave Crow a peck on the side of his face before Andy placed him beside her. The two were basically inseparable. Andy took his hand in mine and led me out the front door to the car. Our hands stayed clasped over the clutch as he drove through the busy traffic to LAX. It was great to know that this time I was leaving with Andy.

Security was strict as always and lets just say, Andy and I don't mix well with metal detectors. His ear, nose, and lip pierced. I have four piercings in my right ear, five in the left, and one side of my nose. All of our piercings had to be taken out, our necklaces, and bracelets. Security basically hates people, like us. It took us over forty minutes to get through, almost making us miss our flight. I had to through all of our studs and jewelry in the front pocket of my purse and Andy basically ran to the gate, damn gazelle legs came in handy. He gave the man at the desk our tickets and pass information. The man called over to tell them to wait a moment. The gate was just about to close. I ran up, basically out of breath and followed the hostess through the ramp and into the plane.

Thank GOD Andy got us first class. We walked through coach, and business class, all jam packed. I just had my purse and Andy had our carry on. We received so many dirty looks from people. Yes assholes, my fiancé is wearing black skinny jeans, and has tattoos. Yes, my hair has a fire red streak in it and I have three visible tattoos. Get over it.

All of the previous compartments has been so packed, but only twenty four seats were available were available in first class. Only about ten people besides us were on the flight, all it seems to be wealthy business people or retirees. Andy stepped aside for me to get to my seat and placed our bags overhead before taking his seat by the aisle while I got the window. He took my hand in his and caress my knuckles with his thumb. I looked up, this was one of the few times I'd ever seen Andy without his piercings. It was OK, but I reached for my purse in the floor and pulled out the twisted mess of metal. We spent the next ten minutes separating whose was whose. Andy placed his in his cup holder for a moment to help me get all mine back on. I gave him the order of the studs and he put back in all eleven of my ear piercings. I put back in my nose stud, and put back on my cross necklace and bracelets. Andy had a matching cross necklace he put on and his bracelets. I had to put his lip ring and nose ring back in since he didn't have a mirror and his earring. The attendant called for us to buckle our seatbelts and prepare for take off. Just in the nick of time!

The plane took off and I found the lack of sleep getting me. I yawned and leaned my head back on the head rest. Andy took my hand in his and I curled up my legs as the attendant said we could unbuckle and relax.

Andy's POV

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself as I saw Reya falling asleep. I carefully reached over and unbuckled her seat belt and tipped her over, resting her head against my shoulder and wrapping my arm around her. I could tell she was out by the steady rise of her chest. I glanced over to see what looked like a very wealthy business man in his sixties. He nodded as he looked over from his paper. I slumped in the seat and tipped back the chair a little bit.

An attendant came by and asked if I wanted anything, to which I politely declined. She turned to the man beside me. "What about you, sir?"

"I'll have a glass of scotch, and young man, would you like a drink?" he asked as gestured to me.

"Oh no thank you," I refused.
"Ahh come on, surely you like brandy or scotch. On me. I insist."

"Hah, well... I guess I'll take a Jack and Coke," that was my go to drink. The attendant left us to go to the service compartment. "Thank, sir. But I'll cover it."

"Oh, no no no. On me young man. What's your name, ya say?" he asked with a kind smile.

I reached out with my left hand across the aisle, "Andy, Andy Biersack."

"Roman Willard," he said shaking my hand. "So what do I have the pleasure of aquatinting? Are you going to Ohio too?"

"Yes we are," I said, ignoring the disgusted glares of the other first class passengers. "Going to visit my parents."

"Ahh, I see. I'm myself am going to visit family. My oldest son and his family live there." The flight attendant returned with a tray, carrying a few drinks. She handed us each a glass to which we both thanked her. He sipped the clear scotch, "Ahh, a good mix. Now then, I'm off to visit them for a few days since they couldn't make it out for the holidays. I own a vineyard ya see, and they usually come stay with me. My wife passed a few years back and they come to stay for a few weeks but he's got some new job and don't get to visit often."
I took a drink of my mix, "I understand that. My family is from Ohio, but I moved to LA for my job and I rarely get the time to go home and see them since I travel so much. It makes it hard for any person time actually."
"What do ya do?" he said as he swirled the liquor in the glass.

"I'm a singer songwriter for a band. We travel all over the world."

"Sounds like a good deal," he said with a smile, "Is that how ya got that one?" motioning to Reya.

"It's kind of like that," I laughed.

"Entertain me," he said. I was a little shocked, "Excuse my old language. I meant to say that I'd like to hear the story. I always love hearing about people's lives and travels, and we'll be up here awhile."

I could feel the blush in my face. "Well...uh- I met her through music. My band wasnt extremely well known when we met and we were playing a touring festival and her band was opening for us near St Louis. And uh...things were pretty complicated."

He laughed into his drink, "Love is hard. Take that from a man who was married over forty years."

"We got real close and she was in a real bad relationship-"

"Beat her?"

"Pretty close," I said as I gazed down at her peaceful face. "I had to fight him off her one night and I guarded her for awhile after that as much as I could. Her band ended up getting reviewed by my bands label at the time and she ran away from home to be with me and her band. She was only 18 and I was 19. We lived basically with each other for two months and toured but then the label turned down her band and she had the go home. Her family was furious with her and she couldn't take it so she left in the night with her things to live in Florida with her brother."

"I tell by the look on yer face, Andy, that something bad happened," he said quietly as his wise eyes cut right through me.

"I cheated on her," I sighed. "I still hate myself for doing that and hurting her so much."

"And?"

"We split up and were in separate relationships for awhile but I was so miserable. And I feel terrible, but our friends set it up for us to meet at a party when the girl I cheated on her with and me broke up. She was still in a relationship but I literally dropped on my knees and apologized for everything. By e end of the night she was so tired she fell asleep in my arms on my tour bus. We woke up and we had both realized that we still had a spark. And..."

"Ya laid down and made love didn't ya? I can tell by your guilty blush, son," he laughed.

"Yeah, we did. I'd never felt to alive in my life. After that I knew I couldn't let her go. I feel bad because she was in a happy relationship and I-"

"She couldn'ta been that happy if she got back together with you."

I smiled to myself, "She broke up with him and after awhile longer apart she decided to move to LA with me. So she packed up and came to LA, and...and I managed to mess up again. One of my band members just got divorced and was of his depression meds and I walked in on him trying to make out with her when they were home since he was staying with us. And my temper blew and I left in a rage. I didn't remember she herself hadn't had her anxiety medication since we had moved...she..."

"Just tell me, boy."

"She hurt herself...badly...and after I helped her from that I left her for a week and she needed me. She...she almost took her life because of my mess up. But I sensed up and we talked. She's back on her medication. Things are better than they've ever been."
"Ya better not let her get away again, Andy." His face was absolutely serious. I reached for her hand and carefully held it to him, showing him her engagement ring. "What a gorgeous set that is!"

I smiled to myself, "I'll never let her get away. She is my life."

He was smiling to himself, lost in a memory, "So was my Rosey Mae. When you find a love like that, ya never let it go. Never. And if you do yer a damn fool."

Just then the attendant returned, "Excuse me, but we are preparing to land. If you could please fasten your seatbelts and fold all trays, we will be landing in Columbus in ten minutes."

"Best of luck to you, Andy. Both of ya," he said with a wink and smile as he swallowed the last of his scotch and handed the glass to the attendant.

I smiled, "You as well, Roman. I wish you a great visit with your family. Stay well, my friend."

I looked down to Reya, still fast asleep. "Wake up, my beautiful angel on earth. We are about to land." She slowly opened her eyes and cuddled into my side. I laughed and kissed her forehead. "Come on."

She sat upright and put her lap belt on. I held her hand as she woke and our plane slowy descended before meeting the runway with thump...thump thump thump thump. We pulled into the gate and the doors opened. I helped her up and grabbed our bags from the overhead. I wrapped around her and we walked side by side down the ramp. I saw Roman with a small group of people, surely his son and his family by the perfect resemblance. As we walked by I nodded with a smile to Roman.

"Ahh, Andy wait a second. I never caught your bands name," he called.

"Black Veil Brides," I called over my shoulder with a wink. He smiled and returned to his family. Reya looked confused, but I just kissed her gently on the lips as we walked to the baggage claim.

I knew him before he even turned around. My dad stood with his back to us, and my mother the sided beside him. My dad, Chris, turned, his BVB hat on his head as well as a shirt, my mom beside in a BVB crew neck. I caught a glimpse of his smile before we smashed each other in a tight hug. We tightly gripped each other for a moment.

"Ahhh, Andy we've missed you," he said quietly as a let him go and reached over to engulf my short mom in a huge hug.

Reyas POV

Andy and I walked away from the terminal and toward baggage. Andy suddenly began to walk very fast and I couldn't keep up. I followed behind him as he hugged a man and a short woman. I shyly walked up beside him as he let go of his mom.

Andy's eyes shine so brightly and proud, "Mom. Dad. This is Reya, Reya Chance."

"So you're the Reya weve been hearing about for years!" Chris said as he gave me a gentle hug.

"So nice to finally meet you, sweetie," Amy said with a tender smile and hug.

"I'm glad to finally meet you guys. Andy always is telling me about you guys, good things of course!"

Amy smiled and looked to the boys, "Well...I have lasagna. Whose hungry?"

"ME!" they said in unison.

Andy and I laughed and followed Amy and Chris out of the airport.
