WHAT IS UP WITH THE ADS?

Is it just happening to me? Like I'm trying to read, or upload my own chapters, or just fucking do stuff on this website, and then an ad will come up on the right hand side while I'm on my computer and force me to be trapped on that section of the page until its over?
WHAT THE HELL?
