How would you write a "good story"?

I am in the midst of writing two stories on here, and I feel they are not as good as they can be. Do you guys have any advice. Anything helps. Thanks, and I love you all. Never give in!

Personnaly I keep on reading these two tutorials, then you should image the story putting yourself as the main character, try to think about the end and a few events. If it sound good you right a summary that contain the characters (their personnal story), what will happen, how it will end up. If you can do all that, the story is already good enough to make like 20 chapter (like you'll add feelings, details, impression of each one). Then the more you write, the easier some events you did'nt think about at first will come. It's really easier when you put yourself as the characters (you can make the feelings you would have at these moments...).

Hope I helped :)

i think the first chapter has t draw the reader in, im like it with normal books, if I'm not sucked in after the first few pages of a book i don't bother with the rest, i tried with Game Of Thrones but i think cuz i watched the series first while my nan finished the first book, it kinda ruined it for me, also what i find helpful is to imagine the first chapter as the first 5 mins of a film, its gotta be exciting, descriptive, but not too much, and must be formatted right, that's a huge pet peve of mine, if its not set out right, then i literally take one look and don't even read it, no matter how good the content is, look at how a book is set out and go from there. i'm a book worm and over the years i know when a story is going to be a good one
hope that helps
