I started mine with my dream of how I could start to maybe make my life better and then it went from there and I thought of different ways BVB could come in and eventually I decided on the one that I put in my story. So daydream about something that makes you happy and it could converge. i hope that made sense
I always felt it best is to find the subject of the story. Like is she/he being adopted by bvb or meets bvb, ect ect. Write how it happens and work on from there.
Both of my stories start out
introducing the main character/s and their everyday life. Then, by the end of the first chapter, something happens, whether they find something or what not and then I write about how that thing leads to bvb. I like to get to know the characters

The best way (in my opinion) to introduce a story to the audience, is to do something either at the beginning or end of the first chapter which hooks their attention. Having a story idea that hasn't been tried before is also a good way to do it- and if you don't have a unique idea, create a VERY good version of an idea that has been done before. Making things believable unless it's from Legion of the Black (and even then this slightly applies), is definitely a good way to start too.

I've been writing fan fiction for over a year, so maybe I can help. I'm the author that always has some original idea for fan fics. Most people write about the character being adopted by BVB or going on tour with BVB, and those ideas are great for first time fics. I know my first super popular fic was the girl running away with Andy and going on tour with them. The best way to start a fan fic is to hook the audience in right away. It may take a while for you to think of something really captivating, but it will come to you. If you want some ideas on how to start a fic, you're more than welcome to check my stories out for reference. Here's an example of something that would hook your reader in right away. In my story 'The Mortician's Daughter', I started the first line saying "She had been too young to remember her mother’s murder but that doesn’t mean she didn’t hear stories about it or read about it in the newspaper clippings that her father had stashed away in the attic." Already you're interested to see what is going to happen. A murder? Of course you're going to want to read more. So, that's what you need to do. You have to capture the reader with something interesting. Then, tone it down a bit so you can introduce the characters and such. Once they're hooked in, they'll keep reading. You don't want to rush into big events. You want to be able to describe the character's personality through every day things they go through. I hope this helped a bit! :)
