Waiting On You
So, when shall we meet?
When I woke up the next day, I went straight to my phone. I looked at the message Andy sent me, I put him in my contacts, and called him. It rang a few times, then I heard his deep voice say, "Hello?" He sounded tired, maybe I shouldn't have called him.
"Andy? It's me, Maddy. How are you doing? It's been so long."
"Oh, hey. I'm good. I missed you so much. It's nice to hear your voice again.
I bit my lip. "It's nice to hear yours too. I can't believe it's actually deeper than before. I really didn't think that was possible." I laughed, and he did too.
"So, how have you been?"
"I've been really good. I know you're doing well."
"Yeah. Hey, uh, I would like to see you some time soon. Whenever you're free, but I would like it to be this week since I'm going on Warped tour."
I couldn't contain the smile as I said, "I'm free tonight." What did I just say? I need to think about what I would say to him and how I'll react when I see him. It's been so long since I've seen his beautiful face.
"You are? That's great! Do you want to meet somewhere?" That brought me back into reality.
"You can just come over to my place." Oh god, what am I doing?!
"Sounds good to me. Wait, are you even in California?"
I laughed. "Yes, I am. I'll give you my address." I think I'm losing my mind.
"That would be great." I gave him my address, then he said, "It will be fun to see you tonight."
I smiled to myself. "Yeah, it really will. I can't wait to see you."
"I can't either. I bet you're just as beautiful before. If not more." He said.
That's when I found myself blushing. "Well, you haven't seen me yet." I said.
"I know, but I can imagine you right now. Remember those bright green pants you used to wear?"
I laughed. "Yes, you hated those. I still have them."
"You do not! Please don't wear them tonight."
"I won't. I'll wear something else, like my yellow pants."
"You wouldn't dare." He said laughing.
"I wouldn't do that to you. I'll wear something nice for you." I told him.
"You don't have to; I'm nothing special." He said.
"Well, to me you are."
I heard the smile on his voice when he said, "Thank you, Maddy. You're definitely something special to me also. So what time do you want me to come over?"
"Whenever's good for you. It doesn't really matter to me."
"All right. Is 7:00 okay?" He asked.
"That's fine. I'll see you then."
"Yeah. Bye, Maddy."
"Bye, Andy." Then he hung up.
I put my phone on the charger, took a shower, fixed my hair, did my make-up and got dressed
I looked at my clock and saw that it read 6:45. Oh my god, he's going to be here in fifteen minutes! What if he doesn't show up? Then what will I do? I hope he does. I mean, he's a man of his word, right?
