As you fade into the night.

I woke up the next morning to someone shaking me roughly.

I groaned moving more into my bed.

"Go away"

" Jessica up!" I heard Sammi hiss and I groaned more

" no go away"

Suddenly my warm dark space was invaded with light and cold air as my blanket was ripped off me.

My eyes shot open and I turned my head looking at Sammi who was holding my blankets.

" it's 7 you have 30 minutes to get to school "

I groaned dropping back into my bed.

" Sammi can I just stay home?"

She shook her head before dropping the comforter and walking to the door

" no, up now, if you get down in 15 you can drive my car"

I instantly smiled as the door shut and hoped out of bed.

I had my license but since I got here I only got to drive jinxx's car once and awhile since I didn't have my own.

I smiled taking my night shirt off and replacing it with a anthem made one that was lying on my desk.

I quickly kicked off my basketball shorts and grabbed my red skinny jeans from the floor that still had my studded belt in it.

I sat on bed fixing my pant legs before I grabbed my brush and brushed through my brown hair not in the mood to straighten it considering it was still kind of straight to begin with.

I sat up and grabbed my wallet, phone and headphones before slipping on my toms and hurriedly leaving my room and skipping down the stairs and into the brightly lit living room.

Ella ,Juliet ,Lauren, and Sammi were on the couch drinking from coffee mugs and laughing while full house played on the tv. I walked in and they smiled waving to me.

" shit you were right that did get her up" Lauren said and I stuck my tongue out at her as Sammi nodded and stood up.

" knew it would"

She turned to me and smiled jiggling the keys.

" don't go too fast, be safe, and please don't die" she said tossing me the keys.

I quickly caught the cold keys shaking them in my hand with a smirk.

" I'll be careful, bye I love you guys!!" I called as I rushed for the door, I had ten minutes to get to school.

I heard the others call out their goodbyes as I reached the door picking up my bag on the way out the wooden door before I closed it and walked into the cool morning sun.

I smiled and unlocked Sammi's black Toyota corolla as I walked down the driveway near it.

She never let me drive it without her, so this was a big deal.

I opened the door and put my bag in the passenger seat before I closed the door and put the key in the ignition making the car roar to life.

We stitch these wounds immediately came on and I smiled as I put my seat belt on.

Of course she had it in here, it was her favorite, mine too always has been.

I checked the clock and instantly cursed.

7:25

I only had 5 minutes, thankfully the school wasn't too far so if I left now I could just make it, I hope.

I put the car in reverse and swiftly backed out of the driveway before switching it into drive and heading towards the school.

The whole drive I smiled feeling better , hopefully I'd get a break today.

I pulled into a space at 7:29 and quickly cut the engine, grabbed my bag and jumped out of Sammi's car rushing to get to the school.

I walked quickly across the parking lot and got into the doors just as my phone clock turned 7:30, I went to keep walking through the next set when the attendance lady called out aftere.

" hey you're late, you need a pass"

I turned around and faced the small window that sat between the doors, the lady sat there smiling sweetly and I groaned walking towards her.

So much for having a better day.

" fucking perfect" I muttered crumpling my failed physics test up and shoving it in my bag just as the bell rang signaling the end of the day, finally.

I was wrong when I thought today would be better, if anything it was worse and I couldn't wait to get home so I could go in my bed and sleep.

Just as I went to stand up I felt someone grab my shirt and pull me up towards them.

Before I had time to question it I was turned around and faced with Stephanie's boyfriend who smirked at me.

" what's the matter, thought suspending steph would save you?" He asked and I shook my head looking around the room but even the teacher was gone.

I'm screwed

" let go" I said fighting his tight grasp.

He smirked and gripped me tighter before dragging me by the arm into the hallway where his friends were waiting. I instantly felt my heart drop into my stomach as they all smirked and walked towards us as he continued to drag me towards the stair well.

I instantly panicked and started to kick violently.

" awe look she's scared" one of them snapped but I continues to kick.

After my fourth kick I heard him groan and his grip was loosened.

I instantly shoved him back and ran from his grip hearing shouts after me as I ran towards the back doors.

My heart thundered in my ears as I pounded out the doors and down the asphalt and around the school towards Sammi's car. I looked behind me and saw all 5 of the right behind making me run harder as I neared the car.

I just need to get in the car and ill be okay.

I unlocked it quickly and waisted no time to rip the door open and slam it closed.

I instantly locked it leaning against the steering wheel to catch my breath as I looked around throwing my bag in the seat.

I didn't see them so I stuck the key in the ignition and put the car into drive pulling out of the space.

I just needed to get home

Once I got out of the space however a car zoomed behind me and fear ran through me again, of course, why can't I catch a break?

I pulled out of the school and down the road hoping they'd leave alone or give up but they only sped up right behind me hocking causing me to panick and press on the gas faster as we got towards an intersection.

I sped up towards the yellow light and checked behind me to see if they were following me as I passed under it.

My heart loosed as I saw that they were stuck at the light but my thoughts were broken as I heard more horns beep and before I could react the sound of crunching metal filled my ears as the world around me went dark.

" so where should we eat tonight?" I asked Ella and she shrugged

" I don't know, Pizza?"

" you and jake make such a good pair you pizza lovers" Lauren mocked from the other couch.

Ella chucked a pillow at her and I laughed just as my phone rang.

I pulled it out from my pocket and looked at it seeing it was mat good.

Why was he calling?

" who Is it?" Juliet asked obviously noticing my confused face

" mat"

They looked at me and I clicked answer before pressing it to my ear.

" hello?"

" Sammi?!" He asked rushed out and I laughed a little

" yeah?"

"oh thank god you're okay!" He exclaimed and I furrowed my eyebrows

" what? Why wouldn't I be?"

" I just drove by a crash and the car was totaled but It looked like yours, even had your license plate , well I thought it was yours , but it was terrible, and I thought I thought it was you"

Once the words left his mouth I froze and my ears rung, no, it couldn't be.

" mat.. Where was it?" I asked my voice slightly cracking

" right at the intersection on summer street near the highschool."

My blood drained and I covered my mouth feeling a tear fall down my face.

" no"

The girls all looked at me flipping the tv off with concern

" Sam?"

I shushed Ella

"Sammi? You okay?" Mat asked

" n-I I need to go mat ill fill you in later"

I didn't wait for a response before I hung up the phone and stood up feeling my heart tighten as I passed a little.

" Sammi what's wrong?" Ella asked and I shook my head

" turn the news on!"

They looked at me

"now!"

Juliet quickly turned the tv back on and I remained standing as the others sat down looking as Juliet flicked the news on

Once the channel came on it was the crash . It showed a car, if you could call it that , to me it looked like a ball of black metal but I caught sight of the license plate making my blood drain.

I saw them all froze just as the reporter came on.

" the crash that happened today at about 2:30 was supposibly caused by a chase of two cars teenagers In both, the car ran through a yellow light just as an oncoming truck was coming from the left hitting the teenager right in the drivers side, the identity hasn't been found yet but it is a teenage girl, she was taken to South Bay hospital a few minutes ago unconscious and in bad condition while the other drivers were not harmed , more details available during the 4 o,clock news"

My world froze as they all turned to me, tears fell down their faces

" Sammi-"

" get in the car, we need to get to the hospital now" Ella said and we all nodded not bothering to turn the tv off before we rushed out of the house and straight into jinxx's black suburban.

I got in the drivers side and waited for the others to climb in Before I immediately pulled out towards the hospital.

The whole ride there was filled with silence , I was scared and I could tell they were too so there was nothing to say.

We got to the emergency entrance and I pulled in a spot quickly before hoping out and rushing to the doors with the others behind me.

I saw an ambulance backed towards the door but i noticed it was already emptied as I walked in the doors and straight to the desk.

" hello can I help you?" A young women asked, he blond hair pulled back In a neat bun.

" the big accedent that just happened,Jessica ferguson" I rushed out and I saw her eyes grow sad making every inch of hope that was inside of me die.

" they just brought her in 10 minutes ago, she was rushed into emergy surgery ill call a doctor okay?" She asked and I nodded shakily

" if you want you can take a seat I don't know how long it'll take"

I nodded and walked silently to the seats Lauren ad Ella both sitting on either side of me followed by Juliet.

I put my hands in my hair and closed my eyes silently praying to a god I wasn't even sure was real but all I knew was I needed her to be okay.

We waited in the waiting room for what seemed like days but was only a few hours until a doctor came out and to the receptionist.

We didn't call any of the guys yet only mat to let him know what was going on.

He was going to come down when we found out what was going on and that was when I was going to call jinxx, even if he was going on stage I needed him to know but I didn't want to tell him untill I knew exactly what was happening.

The receptionist nodded and pointed to us making my heart jump and we instantly stood up as he walked towards us

" hello, I'm dr gale , you're related to Jessica ?" He asked towards me and I nodded

" I'm her gaurdien right now, my husband is her cousin" He nodded gently

" she just got out of surgery, she has bad breaks on her ribs, and a few sprains here and there, she also hasn't woken up from the accident she's in a coma wich could be from the hit to her head, the loss of blood and a few other things so it's not certain when she'll wake up it could be a few days, weeks or even months we just don't know"

I let out a small breath, she's alive, barely, but she's alive, that's all that mattered.

" thank you" Lauren breathed out and He nodded softly

" she's being put into a room if you'd like to go up"

We nodded and he smiled a little before walking forward us close behind .

I felt Ella's arm around my shoulder as I let out a shaky breath thanking god she was alive but now there was only thing on my mind.

Please let her wake up.
