Saviour

I run down the stairs to find Jinxx making us some tea. I smile at him and wander over.

“So, I’m guessing you’re wondering why I needed paper right then and there” I say

“Nah, Andy used to do it all the time when we were rooming together” He replies as he snakes his arm around my waist and kisses the top of my head

“Well then, I’m sure you’re wondering what I wrote”

“That part is true” he says reaching for the boiling kettle

“When you’re done with that come in the living room and I’ll show you” I say and then head through the door into our living room. A few minutes later, Jinxx follows

He sets the mugs down on the coffee table “Now show me” He says

I hand him the paper “So, what do you think? It’s not done yet, obviously” I say as he reads it over

“It’s amazing” He says “Definitely fits your band, too. Let me guess, it’s gonna be a slow song?”

“Yup” I reply happily and he leans into me

“You know I’ll never leave you”

“I know” I reply and smile “I just can’t help but think like that”

“I hate that you think like that”

“I know” I say, tears starting in my eyes “I just can’t help it, everyone’s always left me”

He sits up and hugs me “I love you, Valerey” He says and the tears start flowing

We sit like that for almost half an hour. Jinxx leans forwards and grabs my mug of tea

“It’s getting cold” He says and I smile at him. “How ‘bout we watch a movie?”

“Alright” I say and start to drink my tea

He gets up and puts in Spirit, my favourite movie. He comes back over to the couch and we curl up together only to have my cell start ringing.

“Ugh, I’ll be back” I say and head upstairs to where I left my phone

“Hello?” I say into the phone

“Hey, Val, if Justin” My manager says

“Hey, sorry I didn’t look at the ID. What’s up?”

“I just got you added to a European tour. It’s not finalized yet, so you can back out, but this will be a great chance for the band if you take it”

“Are you kidding me?! Of course I wanna do it!” I practically yell into the device

“That’s what I like to hear. Now, I’ll call up the others and we’ll meet in studio around noon, sound alright?”

“That’s fine, see you there” I say and then hang up. I run down the stairs and jump on top of Jinxx, who, in turn, puts his hands around my back so I don’t fall off

“What’s up?” He laughs

“Angel’s Demise just got hooked into a European tour!” I squeal

“Really?! That’s fantastic!” He says mimicking my enthusiasm

“We have to be at the studio around noon so we can talk about. Aaah I can’t wait!”

“Off one tour and right back on another”

“Yes, but this one is overseas. Before I had met you guys I had never even been out of Ohio.”

He laughs at me “I know, I know, I was so excited when BVB got our first overseas gig”

“And I’m gonna talk Justin into letting you come with me”

“So, any idea who the other bands are?”

“Nope, but that’s fine, I could be touring with Justin Beiber for all I care. We’re getting bigger and I don’t care who is on tour with us”

He smiles and rolls his eyes “I’m so proud of you Val”

“Now let’s watch some Spirit” I say and fall onto the couch beside him, leaving my tea on the table since it’s already cold.

We cuddle up together and end up falling asleep like that.
