Audrey's POV

That night I spent curled in Jakes embrace. He had pulled a soft blanket over us and I appreciated his presence since the cool desert breeze drifted in the small window. I fell asleep with my head tucked into his neck, our arms wrapped lovingly around each other. That was two weeks ago. I stir quietly. A steady hand carefully and tenderly rubs along my spine. I let out a quiet moan as I cuddle into his shoulder. I re adjusted my hands over his chest. His lips gently rest in my hair. "Good morning, beautiful."

"Mmm, goo moring" I mumble, eyes still closed.
He laughed, his voice thick and raspy...and oh so sexy. "I guess that means someone's not ready to get up, yet?" he said as he tightened his arms around me, pulling me almost on top of him.
"Nooo."
"How about I go get breakfast breakfast started?"
"Mhm," I grumbled.

That earned another laugh from Jake. He carefully pulled me off him and rested me in his warm place. He pulled the blanket back over me. His soft black hair trailed over my face as he leaned down to give me a sweet kiss. I smiled as I heard his quiet, thumping footsteps against the bare flooring to the door. It squeaked, the rusted hinges whining as he shut the door. I pulled Jakes raggedy pillow under my head and grabbed the edge of the blanket, curling up with it. I drifted off for a few minutes, until I heard the door open and the smell of food leak in. I grumbled a little as I sleepily opened my eyes. I rubbed them a few times, literally rubbing the sand out. I slowly sit up as Jake carries over two dishes of food with a small water jug in his other hand. I smile and scoot back, resting my spine on the old wall behind the bed. Jake crawls over me, resting one dish on my lap. Three slices of meat, some type of orange fruit slices, and a piece of bread. Delicious. I picked up a piece of fruit and pop it in my mouth. It's very bitter tasting.
"Jake?"

He looks up as he placed a piece of meat in his mouth. "Waht?" he asks, his mouth full.

I giggle for a second at the awkward expression on his face, with his cheeks slightly stretched. I regain my composure. "Do you...do you think we will live like this?"
"Like waht?"
"You know you really shouldnt talk with your mouth full," I laugh.
He swallows and blushes slightly. "Sorry."

"It's ok. I mean though...here. Don't get me wrong it's cool here and all, but..." my eyes drift around the decaying building. The roof leaks, the flooring is bare, the door is falling off, the walls are beginning to crumble. "If we stay together, are we going to live like this? Here?"

He pauses for a moment, surveying the room too. "I see what you mean."
"I just don't think I'd want to live here forever. It's not...healthy. Or safe."
"I wish we could have a house."
"Me too."
"Well," he says as he wrapped an arm around my back, "let me talk with the guys. I know Andy was talking about wanting to get a place, and Sammi and Jinxx have been considering it for some time." "Mkay." We continued our breakfast mostly in silence. And that's OK. Jake and I are both perfectly fine with not constantly talking. I ate what I could off the plate, but it was just...not my forte of foods. I followed Jake out of bed and into the gathering area with the kitchen and the table we had used for mapping.

Sammi was sitting on Jinxxs lap on the couch, CC and Blair were...wrestling on the floor apparently. Ashley was moving around the kitchen searching for something and Juliet was looking through the maps with Andy. "Good morning!" Juliet says as I glances up.
"Hah, good morning," I say still kind of sleepy.
"Someone's not a morning person," Jake says as he wraps his arms around me from behind and planting a kiss on my cheek as I scrunched up that side of my face.

"Aww," CC and Andy say together.
I flip them off and kiss Jake once on the side of his face. "Well guys I have an idea," Jake says as we walked over to sit on the couch.

"What's that?" Andy asks as Jake sits.
I sit between his legs sideways, so that my butt is between his legs and his arm is around my back as I lean into him. I tuck my head against his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me, rubbing up and down my arm. "Well, other than Ash, we are all coupled up. And Ash gets a girl ever other night."

"I am the Deviant," he says with a wink.
"Man whore," Sammi coughs and everyone laughs.

"AS I WAS SAYING," Jake starts. "I don't know about you guys, but do you really wanna stay in this shit hole building forever? I mean we only salvaged this old oil yard so that we could fight. I mean if some of the wild ones want they can stay here and keep the camp going, you know, in case we ever need it again, but would you guys like to maybe get a house for all of us or something?"
Everyone sat in silence for a few moments, thinking of the possibilities. "I mean if we moved to a town or village then we would have easy access to food, water, and other necessities," I said, letting it sink in.

"OK, we have a confession," Sammi says quietly. We all look to her and Jinxx. "I think I'm pregnant."
"OH MY GOD!" Juliet squeals as she runs over and embraces Sammi in a hug. Blair does the same.

"Congrats," I say from my place on Jakes lap. "I'd hug you but I'm just a little bit too tired to get up right now."
"Well it'd be a good idea to get a house or something so we are all together. This place isn't safe or really good enough to have a baby in. This old place is falling apart. We can't have Sammi, or any of you girls for the matter, get sick from being here." I agreed with Jinxx.

"Andy and I were actually just talking about trekking out to this area we found called Galand. It's apparently a Prairie type area. It used to be where some place called Las...Los Angeles? That would be about a three days trek from here in the desert," Juliet said as she held up a map. I smiled as I saw our curt location in a field of tan and the new place marked, and surrounded by greenery.

"What do you guys think?" Andy asked.
"I think it's perfect," I added quietly as I smooched Jake once.
"I like that idea," Sammi said as she laced her fingers with Jinxxs.
"Anything for you baby, and you maybe baby," he replied as he kissed her lips once and then kissed her flat stomach.
Ashley turned to us, "I'm up for it."
"We're in," CC and Blair said.

"It looks like we are going to Galand!" Juliet yelled with excitement.
