“Eve… Eve… Eve!” I heard a familiar deep voice calling my name. I saw the bright light go dimmer and the shaking of my arms becoming more attentive. I shielded my eyes and realized I was staring straight at the sun. I saw a few figures standing above me. I recognized Andy first, he was probably the one shaking me. “Are you okay?” He asked me, sounding very worried. I sat up.

“Yeah… what happened? I was-“ He cut me off. Well, that was a bit rude.

“You just vanished in thin air, right in front of me.”

“I saw you then suddenly become the F.E.A.R. drawing I drew on the wall of my cell.” I then noticed that the Mystic and the Mourner were standing behind Andy, watching over his shoulder. Jinxx then spoke.

“Your cell? Where were you?”

“A loony bin.” I rolled my eyes. Andy’s eyebrows furrowed.

“Why?” He asked.

“Because my parents didn’t approve of my drawings and writing I had in my notebook.” Jake spoke next.

“What did you draw?”

“Like, F.E.A.R. soldiers and Wild Ones. The Legion of the Black, basically.”

“Wait, how did you know about the Legion? And F.E.A.R.?” Andy asked, confusion written on all of their faces.

“I don’t know, really. I just believed in the Legion of the Black ever since I could think, and dream. I drew my drawings from the dreams I had.” Jinxx’s face turned into one as if a light bulb went off in his head.

“You had dreams? Of the Legion and F.E.A.R.?”

“Yeah, and sometimes my drawings created little action scenes in my head. Like marching of the Wild Ones, F.E.A.R. lurking around the home of the Rebels, and my last was the girl getting killed. I somehow came here completely after that…” Jinxx nodded. He tapped Andy’s shoulder and motioned him to follow. Jake stayed beside me. They walked away a bit, Jinxx whispering something to Andy, who whispered back quickly. They went back and forth for a bit, before I turned my attention to Jake, who asked me a question.

“How old are you?”

“Seventeen, why?” He didn’t reply, just nodded and seemed to be trying to solve a puzzle in his head. I turned my attention back to the Prophet and the Mystic. Andy had his back to me so I couldn’t make out what he said. I realized I could make out a little bit of their conversation. I heard Jinxx say something, maybe a bit too loudly.

“Are you sure that’s her?” Andy seems to be getting a bit frustrated.

“Yes, Jinxx. Her powers have the abilities of a Matriarch.” There that’s word again.

Am I the Matriarch? Another voice popped in my head. I better not be going loony…

Yes, I think you are the Matriarch, Eve. Ugh, I recognized the voice.

Andy, stop reading my mind before I kick you where the sun don’t shine. I heard him chuckle.

Yeah, I’m sure you will, and embarrass yourself in front of two powerful members of the Legion.

Hehe, you know it’s never good to be too cocky, right?

I seem to be doing fine now. I can’t believe I’m doing this but Andy got a bit too cocky. I stood up, startling Jake in the process. I walked over to Andy and Jinxx. Jinxx stopped whispering and looked at me confused. Andy looked back, and just in time, too. Before he could even register surprise, I brought my leg up and kicked him, right square where the sun don’t shine. He bent over in pain and dropped to the ground. I saw Jake trying to maintain his laughter, Jinxx too but he let some chuckles escape. Andy began groaning in pain and frustration.

“Not. Funny. Fuck. You.” Jake decided to laugh openly and made his way beside Jinxx, who was badly trying not to laugh.

“Told you, Prophet.” I emphasized Prophet, mocking his moment of misery right now.

He graoned. “Okay, remind me never to piss you off again.”

Jinxx was now able to speak without laughing. “Told you, Andy, girls don’t like guys lurking in their minds.”

“Wait, you knew he was doing that?” I looked at Jinxx. Jake pursed his lips trying not to smile and propped his arm on Jinxx’s shoulder, glancing at him. Jinxx’s face turned into one of slight worry.”

“Uh, yeah…” Ha, he probably thought I was going to kick him, too.

Why don’t you?

Ugh, Andy, stay. out. of. my. head! He was still on the ground rocking back and forth, I knew most of the pain was probably gone by now, yet he was still a cocky bastard in my mind.

Ha, what if I like what’s in your head? Like how you think I’m hot?

Please, every fan girl in my world is attracted to yours and Ashley’s looks. He slowly got back up, dusting himself off. He actually spoke this time.

“Including you.” He smirked.

Jake and Jinxx looked confused. Of course, they didn’t know our mind conversation.

“Yes, I will admit I am attracted to your sexy looks, but your attitude and ego? Yeah, I think I can live without that.” Their faces looked like ones of amused shock, most likely from the fact that I actually said that, but Andy’s quickly turned into full amusement.

“You’re definitely not like other girls.”

“Nope, I prefer to speak my mind, which I unfortunately haven’t done for a bit because you keep lurking in there.” I glared at him. Jake and Jinxx were obviously amused by our bickering but I ignored them and kept glaring at Andy.

“Well, princess,” I glared harder at him emphasizing calling me that. My real dad always used to call me that whenever he was drunk and… I rather not speak of it. He left and now my ‘dad’ is my step-dad… anyways, the name always pissed me off. He was about to continued but I slapped him across the face. Jake eyebrows shot up and Jinxx’s jaw dropped. Andy’s face showed shock and slight anger but his eyes showed remorse and regret.

“Call me that again, you won’t have to worry about having kids.” I felt the shock flow through my body again, causing me to shiver. I saw their faces turn into worry and fright. I snapped my eyes shut, knowing that I’ll be back in the ward.
