Take Me Home Tonight

Chapter Two

"Hey Ash," I smiled sweetly at him. "Long time no see."
Of course he hadn't planned a tattoo session with me I thought, rolling my eyes. It wasn't like he knew I worked here or anything. Oh wait, yeah, he did.
"It's good to see ya, Mads," he said in response before shooting me his signature crooked smile, instantly causing my chest to tighten.
Be strong Maddie, I told myself sternly. Don't let his cute ass smile get the better of you. I forced another polite grin.
"Not that I'm not happy to see you or anything," he mused, leaning against the check-in desk. "But is Sara here? I have an appointment with her at 7:00 and I'm already a little late," he said, glancing over to the digital clock mounted on the far left wall that read 7:07a.m
I exhaled slowly. No surprise that Ash was Sara's, and now my client, thanks to her for calling in "sick."
Honestly, her claim of being ill was more than likely just a sloppy hangover. 'Drink a bottle of water and get over it' I thought curtly to myself. I almost had half a mind to call her up and say it her that to her face.
Sara was a party girl who reminded me a lot of my cousin. Fake platinum blond hair, extra curvy with a spray tan to top it all off. No doubt was she Ash's type.
"Actually, Sara isn't in today," I answered, snapping out of my of my mild trance of annoyance and coming back down to reality.
"She isn't?" Ashley asked, cocking an eyebrow with a small pang of frustration setting into the newfound creases on his forehead. "No one called to tell me she wasn't going to be here," he said. "I have to get this sleeve done before the concert tonight," he continued, gesturing to the unfinished fourth of his right arm.
"Oh yeah, that's right, the concert," I answered, remembering C.C.'s invitation for me to come see them play tonight. "Ash, don't worry about it. No one called because I'm here. I'll be taking over Sara's client load this morning, which incidentally, consists of only you," I clarified, causing the creases in his forehead to relax and disappear.

"Oh, really, now?" he asked, sounding relieved. "Glad to know I'll be getting all of your attention then, Mads," he smirked.
"Seriously though, that's a major relief," he continued. "I'm sort of on a busy schedule lately with tour coming up and all. I don't know when I would've found the time to have another appointment made."
I laughed. He was always such a goddamn smooth talker, it was both ridiculous and impressive at the same time.
"Naturally," I said. "I'm always coming to your rescue, pretty boy," I smirked, recalling a recent incident where he, the boys and myself had all gone out drinking after a show.
That night, some crazed fan at the bar, who was unattractive in both looks and demeanor attempted to get Ash to take her home by awkwardly hanging all over him and making ridiculously fan-girly conversation.
Honestly, I think that the girl must've known even more about Ash than he knew about himself in that moment. It was nothing short of horrifying.
"Don't even mention that incident, Madelyn" he said sternly, narrowing his eyes at me from under the brim of his cowboy hat.
"What incident?" I asked innocently, putting my finger to my chin as I pretended to wrack my brain for the particular event he was referencing, although I knew damn well what he meant.
"Oh, you mean the time last week when that one chick at the bar was totally straddling you and trying to get you to go home with her?" I asked. "Hm, what happened after that? Oh, yeah, I remember," I said, with a hint of laughter flooding my voice as he glared at me. "I had to pretend to be your very upset girlfriend in order to get your totally shit-faced ass out of her evil clutches."
"That is so not what happened!" He exclaimed in mock horror. "I could've handled it. She was just being so goddamn overbearing," he said, rolling his eyes as he recalled his version of the story.
"Oh yeah, I'm totally sure you could've gotten out of that one by yourself," I smirked. "You should've seen your face!" I laughed at him as he stood before me looking greatly unamused. "Ash, she was quite literally about to rip your clothing off."
"Which wouldn't have been a bad thing if she wasn't absolutely insane and lower than a 5 on my rating scale," he joked.
"Wow Ashley, really throwing shade at this poor girl, now, aren't you?" I commented jokingly. She had honestly been such a mess, not to mention the fact that she was definitely leagues below Ash in terms of attractiveness.
"Mads, you know I'm down for chicks any day of the week," he said, confessing his whoreish tendencies as if it were a surprise to either of us. "But sometimes even rockstars have their limits," he laughed.
"Yeah, yeah, Ash. You keep tellin' yourself that," I chuckled, rolling my eyes at him. "But enough chit chat already," I continued. "Let's get you in a chair so I can start stabbing you with needles."
"Ohh, kinky," he smirked, shooting me an exaggerated wink. "Lets do this thing, then."
