~Reflection~

I was sitting in front of my vanity, gazing at my relection in the mirror. You could think that this would be the most beautiful day in my life but my eyes were dull. My smile didn't reach my eyes as much as I tried to.

The styliyst left me alone in the dressing room of the hyatt hotel. For this day my whole family and me traveled to Los Angeles, where my future... husband lives. You heard right after this day I will be a married woman at the young age of only 17 years to a man I don't love and then I will live in a foreign country... alone with a man I only met a few times during family dinners and a blind date.

Soon it was time and I had to go downstairs to the garden which was especially arranged for this ceremony. I stood up from the chair I was sitting on, making my white nightmare of a gown unfold.



Upon arriving at the terrace door the music started and my father didn#t waste a second to grab my hand tightly and almost dragged me along the isle. My face was hidden beneath a long veil thankfully so no one could see the nervousness on my face and me trying to pull off an almost real smile. With every step I took my eyes were getting more and more glossy as tears welled up.

We arrived at our destination, way too soon for my taste and my father was already placing my trembling hand into the ones of my fiance and soon to be husband.

This is it. It's over...

I was in a trance and only heard the pastor reading our vows in a blur. I was taken back to reality when it was my part to answer.

"... will you Minah Kang take Caleb Montgomery to rightful husband, and do you promise to love, honor, and cherish him throughout life?"
I gulped my mouth felt suddenly dry "I... I-" glancing at my parents, I balled my hands to fists till my fingernails digged into my palm. "I... I can't, I'm sorry.." uttering those words I held up my dress and ran as fast as I could in 5 inch high heels.

"What are you doing?! Catch her! Bring her back!" I heard my father scream, I ripped off the veil while still running.

I was running for quite some time now without looking where I was going, stopping shortly to look at my surroundings and catch my breath I noticed I was lost. Sighing, I continued to walk but this time in a slower pace. "What should I do?..." I mumbled when I heard loud footsteps behind me, turning my head I saw some of fathers men running towards me.

I took off again and ran around a corner, there I saw a man covered in tattoos coming out of a door. "I'm sorry I need y-" taking him by surprise by pushing him back in he fell backwards to the floor and lost balance too making me fall on top of him. My eyes widened as my lips crashed on his.
