Let Us Start Living for Today

We left the meet and greet room and went back to be in the crowd. We were lucky enough to be escorted up to the front. Once we were situated in our spot Sarah bombarded me with questions. “What was that about back there?” She asked.
“What? You mean with Andy? It was nothing,” I replied quickly trying to cover up my blush.
Sarah smirked at me, “Well, it looks like it was something! C’mon! Tell me!” She wouldn’t stop pestering me about it.
It took a few moments but after a few minutes of Sarah’s relentless bugging I gave in, “He took my phone and gave me his number! Are you happy?” I snapped quickly.
“Oh my god! You’re going to text him, right?!” I thought she was too caught up in the moment to remember that he was 22 and I was 16.
“And what? Tell him, ‘Oh, I think you’re really hot, and I’d love to fuck you, but it’s kind of against the law’?” I replied, somewhat annoyed that she couldn’t think the whole situation through.
She scoffed as the band came out on stage. She was wildly screaming and jumping around, while I just gave a few whoops and jammed along with the music. A few songs into the set Andy jumped off the stage and went up to barricade, right where we were. I realized he was singing Rebel Love Song. He took my hand and put it up to his chest. His eyes locked on mine for a minute before going back up to the stage.
The rest of the set was great, and went by quickly. During the whole show I couldn’t help but think of what I actually would tell Andy. At the end of the show I quickly pulled out my phone and created a new message to send to Andy.
To: Andy
Hey, great job tonight. How long are you in town?
I didn’t expect to get a reply that night, but as I was driving home I made Sarah read out his response, “He says: ‘Thanks, I’m in town for the next few weeks. Want to hang tomorrow?’” She read out excitedly. “What are you going to do?”
“You, are going to reply saying yes, but don’t make it weird. Just say ‘Yeah, that’d be great.’ Okay?”
I turned my head to the side but kept my eyes on the road. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever, don’t get weird,” She replied half-heartedly.
A few moments of silence passed until Sarah read out the next text I recieved, “Elizabeth, where are you? Why aren’t you home?”
I panicked once I remember that I was supposed to text her the second the concert ended, “Oh, shit, tell my mom that I’m on my way, but that we got caught up at the concert,” I responded quickly.
I soon dropped Sarah off at her house, and pulled into our drive-way not wanting to feel the wrath of my mom for forgetting to text her. In all honesty I didn’t want to see anyone except Andy. Holy shit. Maybe I was falling in love. I knew from experience that you can’t trust anyone. What was I going to do?
