My slippers were the second to hit the ground. The whole circle was filled with rock stars. I could see members of BOTDF, MCR, Blink 18, PTV, SWS, and even FIR!!! I was so stoked. And Ashley was supposed to be there. Did I like him? Hell yea! Could I have him? Not just yet. Which was very depressing. Once Kate is off the bus, we make our way to the center of the circle. There are a bunch of lawn chairs surrounding the bonfire, but hardly anybody was sitting in them. Both me and Kate sit in lawn chairs and warm our hands to the fire. I look around. Every chair near us is empty besides one. A drunk Ronnie Radke sits with a large bottle of jack singing,
“Ohh Danny boy!” Quite loudly. I grin and laugh. He looks my way and tries to concentrate
“What pretty girl, think you can do better?” He asks, his eyes go in and out of focus. He is sooooo wasted!
“Straight up!” I tell him giggling. He holds the bottle over to me and I gladly accept. I chug a couple, gulp, and ask him with a grin,
“What song?”
He just grins back.
“Something different…., something …..” He drawls.

“How to be a Heartbreaker!” I interrupt Ronnie. He beams at me. Cat takes another swig of Jack. She’s really starting to loosen up now. Not drunk, but less paranoid.
“Fine.” She says, and stands up. She doesn’t look happy about though. Using the jack as a microphone, she belts out Heartbreaker.

The farther into the song she got, the more people started dancing. By the end of the song she had almost everybody on they’re feet and moving to the beat. The only people who weren’t dancing were me, Ronnie, and a shadowy OUTLAW sitting in a far away lawn chair eye fucking my best friend. When she sang the last line, everyone started clapping. After mingling restarted, and someone brought out a boom box, Ronnie had some few choice words to say,
“Fine, you win. Can I have my booze back?” He wines at her. She takes another swig before handing him the bottle.
“Hey there, you.” Andy says, coming up behind me and kissing me on the check. I giggle.
“Mmmmhhhm, you look so sexy in Batman.” This time he tries to kiss me on the mouth, but I turn my head at the last second. He pouts.
“Well then,” He mumbles. He scoops me up and throws me on his shoulder.
“Heyyyy!” I scream, but he just walks me away.

Andy walks away with Kate. I wish he would just ask her out, they would make a great couple. And Kate deserves a man that will show her love. First her father, then Jason…. She deserves better. Speaking of guys. I pull out my phone and shoot Ashley a text.
Me: You should’ve just taken a picture, it would’ve lasted longer.
I could just feel his eyes undressing me when I was singing. I could also hear his hearty laugh when he received my text. My phone went off.
Ash: Smile for the camera!
I turn around, and flip him off. He snaps a pic, making me laugh. Then I get an evil idea.
“Ronnie, dance with me!” I giggle sweetly.
“Any day, Sugar!” He replies. He jumps up and grabs my waist pulling me real close.
“Ooooh, I like this.” I mumble, throwing my arms around his neck. I can mentally hear Ash growling. That’s perfectly fine with me. Ronnie knows it doesn’t mean anything.
The song finishes, “Thanks Ronnie!” I call, skipping my way into the mingle.
“Anytime baby doll!” He is so nice. I introduced myself to many of the people there, and eventually wound up in a heated debate with Maddy. Over Superheroes.
“The X-Men were so much better! Plus Wolverine was hot!” She argued.
“No, the Avengers were better. And, Iron man, Captain America, Loki and especially Hawkeye were all hot!” Was my rebuttal.
“The Avengers didn’t even have a shape shifter!”
“The X-Men didn’t have a feisty red-headed Russian master assassin!”
“The Avengers didn’t have anyone who control the weather! And Strom could!”
“False! Thor could make storms and lightening appear!”
We went on like that for awhile. And then we got interrupted.
“Spiderman!” Kate shouted. And then of course Andy had to have his two cents,
“Batman is the best!” He screamed jumping on a nearby picnic table. My phone went off again.
Ashley: Hey, I’m going for a walk, be back in 10.
Well, okay then. But he wasn’t back in ten.
XXX Ashley XXX
Well, I was walking. I didn’t know where. I got to an intersection and popped a piece of gum in. It always managed to calm me down. I was far away by now. The streets and alleys were all deserted. Hello boredom. I pull out my phone and turn it on. The most beautiful person in the world greets me at my start up. Cat. Sure, she’s flipping me off, but I would take her anyway she wanted to be. I was just scrolling through my conversations with her when it happened. I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head, and then black. When I came around, I was in an alley way. There were two men, both dressed in black, and they were talking to one another.
“You sure it’s him?”
“I’m positive.”
“How can you know for certain?”
“Her picture is on his phone!”
“Well, let’s do the dirty deed.” And then he pulled out a gun. He pointed it at my head.
“Nighty night.” Those were the last words I was ever going to hear. I would die without telling Cat how much I loved her. And then the unthinkable happened. Cat came out of nowhere and tackled the guy. The gun scraped her face, and I could see blood.
“Cat..” I cough out. She just ignores me, and speaks to the other two.
“If you want to hurt him, you’ll have to go through me. And if you hurt me, she’ll kill you.” She looked scared, and was shaking like a leaf. But she stood her ground, and didn’t back away.
“Why you little,” The first one said bringing back his fist. But the other one caught it first.
“She’s right.” The other one said, although he didn’t look happy about it.
“We’ll be back. You know as long as she’s alive, she’ll go after him.” He said to her. What were they talking about?
“I know, that’s why she’s going to die soon.”This time, her voice didn’t shake. It sounded strong. And then they just walked away. Once they were gone, she turned and knelt next to me. She had blood pouring down her face.
“Cat-t.”I shudder, “You- your hurt.” She gives me a small smile.
“I’m sorry I brought you into this. I told you not to get close.” Silent tears make there way down her face. I pull her into a hug.
“W-w-why?” I ask. But she just shook her head.
“Not yet, love. Soon.” Was her only reply.
“Promise?”
“I promise”
The last thing I remeber is the ambulance showing up.
